Stefon Diggs is once again making headlines following his recent legal victory, this time because of a courtroom exchange involving questions about his NFL earnings.

According to TMZ Sports, Diggs declined to reveal details about his NFL contract during testimony tied to the ongoing legal case involving Christopher Stokes. The outlet reported that attorneys attempted to question the veteran wide receiver about his football income before Diggs pushed back on revealing the information publicly.

The exchange quickly generated attention online given the timing, coming just days after Diggs was found not guilty in Massachusetts following a highly publicized criminal trial.


TMZ Reports Diggs Pushed Back on Contract Questions

According to TMZ Sports, the courtroom exchange happened as attorneys attempted to establish Diggs’ financial standing during questioning connected to the ongoing proceedings involving Stokes.

The outlet reported that Diggs argued the details of his NFL earnings and contract situation were private and should not be disclosed publicly in court.

That detail became one of the most notable parts of TMZ’s latest report because Diggs’ NFL future and earning power remain major points of public interest. He has been one of the league’s most recognizable wide receivers for years, and any legal development involving his career, finances or future naturally draws attention around the NFL.


What the Case Involving Stefon Diggs Is About

The legal battle stems from allegations made by Christopher Stokes, a social media influencer, who previously accused Diggs of assault tied to an alleged May 2024 incident.

According to TMZ Sports, Stokes claimed he was assaulted after leaving Diggs’ apartment. Diggs denied the allegations, and his legal team has pushed back strongly against Stokes’ claims.

In November 2025, TMZ Sports reported that Diggs filed a defamation lawsuit against Stokes, accusing him of spreading false allegations and damaging his reputation. The outlet reported that Diggs alleged Stokes fabricated parts of the story and shared claims publicly online.

The case has remained in the spotlight because it includes both the public accusations made against Diggs and the wide receiver’s legal response to those allegations.


Diggs Recently Secured Major Legal Victory

The latest courtroom moment comes shortly after Diggs secured a major win in Massachusetts court earlier this week.

A jury found Diggs not guilty on strangulation and assault and battery charges after jurors deliberated for approximately 90 minutes. Throughout the trial, Diggs maintained his innocence.

Just hours after the verdict was announced, the veteran receiver appeared to shift his attention back toward football.

A video posted online showed Diggs working out on a treadmill roughly six hours after the jury returned the not guilty verdict. The clip quickly circulated on social media and marked one of the first public glimpses of Diggs following the decision.

Attorney Mitchell Schuster also addressed reporters outside the courthouse following the verdict.

Schuster said Diggs’ focus now turns back to football and added that any NFL team would be “lucky” to have him moving forward.


Civil Proceedings Remain Ongoing

While the criminal case concluded earlier this week, TMZ Sports reported that the civil proceedings involving Stokes remain ongoing.

That means Diggs’ legal situation is not fully over, even after the not guilty verdict. The latest exchange over his NFL contract details underscored how the case continues to intersect with his football career and public profile.

For now, much of the conversation surrounding Diggs remains centered on both his football future and the continued legal attention tied to the ongoing civil matter.
