Pro Football Sports Network's Jacob Infante predicted the Green Bay Packers to sign veteran cornerback Marshon Lattimore.

There’s been some chatter recently about the Green Bay Packers potentially bringing back Rasul Douglas. But Pro Football Sports Network’s Jacob Infante didn’t see Douglas as the cornerback free agent the Packers should target. Instead, Infante argued Green Bay should pursue four-time Pro Bowler Marshon Lattimore.

Infante recently ranked Lattimore the No. 2-best available player in NFL free agency. The PFSN analyst predicted the veteran cornerback to play for the Packers next season.

“Injuries have plagued Marshon Lattimore over the last four seasons, as he’s missed a combined 32 games in that time,” wrote Infante on May 4. “As much as availability has been an issue, he’s graded pretty well in that span, most notably ranking third in the NFL in PFSN CB Impact Scoring in 2024 between his time with both the Saints and Commanders that year.”

Lattimore made four Pro Bowls early in his career from 2017-21. All of those post-season accolades came with the New Orleans Saints.

Lattimore has spent the past two seasons with the Washington Commanders. During 2025, he had 27 combined tackles with seven pass defenses and an interception in nine games.

Over nine NFL seasons, the veteran cornerback has earned about $97.6 million according to Spotrac.

How Marshon Lattimore Could Fit With Packers

The Packers signed cornerback Benjamin St-Juste in free agency. They also added cornerbacks Brandon Cisse and Domani Jackson during the 2026 NFL Draft.

Yet, pundits have continued to link the Packers to potential cornerback upgrades.

In all likelihood, the team is going to at least spend the next few months seeing what it has at cornerback. But if the Packers do elect to add a potential cornerback upgrade, Lattimore should be on the list of candidates.

Lattimore is still a quality cornerback when healthy. The last time he played more than 10 games, he made the Pro Bowl.

The biggest problem, though, is he hasn’t played more than 10 games since 2021.

Still, Lattimore would offer insurance to a Packers cornerback room returning its top two starters — Carrington Valentine and Keisean Nixon.

Spotrac projected Lattimore’s market value to be about $8.47 million on a 1-year deal.

Why Adding Lattimore Might Not Make Sense for Packers

Green Bay could make one of the biggest signings of the summer by bringing in Lattimore. Like Infante, a lot of pundits have the veteran cornerback ranked as one of the top free agents still available in the league.

But with Valentine and Nixon back, along with St-Juste and Cisse, it’s worth wondering if the Packers wouldn’t be better served filling a different need if they add a free agent.

Lattimore might also prefer not to sign with the Packers. In Green Bay, he wouldn’t have a clear avenue to a starting role.

Lattimore has started all 108 of his NFL games. He started immediately as a rookie after being the No. 11 overall pick in 2017.

During parts of eight seasons with the Saints, Lattimore posted 405 combined tackles, 88 pass defenses and 15 interceptions. He intercepted five passes as a rookie.

Lattimore’s best statistical season came in 2021 when he had career highs of 68 combined tackles and 19 pass defenses along with three interceptions.

The Saints traded the cornerback to the Commanders at the NFL trade deadline in 2024. He recorded 31 combined tackles, 10 pass defenses and one interception in 11 games with Washington.

Lattimore will turn 30 years old on May 19.
