Angelina Pivarnick experienced a heartbreaking loss.
After the 39-year-old discovered she was pregnant in the May 14 episode of Jersey Shore’s Family Vacation, her health took a turn during the May 28 episode of the series’ ninth and final season.
“I’m just not feeling myself,” Angelina said during a confessional. “Some stuff’s happening with me and my pregnancy and I don’t know what’s going on and I don’t even know what to do.”
She went to visit costar Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, who was also pregnant at the time, telling her, “I’m spotting. I’m wearing a pad right now.”
The admission worried Sammi—who has previously experienced a pregnancy loss—enough to encourage Angelina to seek medical attention.
“I’m going to be honest with you, when I miscarried—like a chemical pregnancy—I was spotting right away, and then it, like, just, it happened,” she told her friend. “So, to me, I’m getting a little concerned for you. I don’t want to think the worst but for your own peace of mind, go to the ER and just check. They can see what’s going on.”
The devastating turn of events comes just two weeks after fans watched Angelina—who had shared on the previous episode she had purchased sperm from a donor as part of a plan to get pregnant—discover she was expecting onscreen.
"I am pregnant!" she said during a confessional after taking a pregnancy test with Sammi by her side. "I did not think I was going to be able to get pregnant, but wow. I'm f--king pregnant!"

The pregnancy, according to Angelina, happened naturally, as she told cameras, “There's no sperm donor now!"
For Sammi—who welcomed her son Vincent, now 9 months, with husband Justin May in August—it was a special moment to be by her friend’s side.
"I got chills," she told Angelina. "I'm gonna cry for you. I knew it."
