Jack Schlossberg Reveals Mom Caroline Kennedy's Reaction to 'Love Story' Show

Host Katie Couric also noted that his parents were maybe not “portrayed in a very positive way,” a sentiment Jack agreed with.

“The two nicest, most dignified, private people in the whole world,” he added of his mom and dad, “who do nothing but help others.”

And while he and his family were not fans of Love Story, Jack—who is currently running for congress—emphasized that he had “no problem with anyone who liked the show or watched it.”

“I’m glad my uncle John was so cool,” he said. “It's not surprising that people—once they remember who he was—want to dress like him and be like him. He was awesome. He was a smart, attractive person who cared about politics and tried to blend politics and media in his time, just like I'm trying to do right now with social media and politics and our campaign.”

“My issue is—we have a lot of serious problems facing our country, and my family, we're not just celebrities,” he explained. “We're not just icons. These are public servants.”

Jack—whose sister Tatiana Schlossberg died Dec. 30 following a battle with myeloid leukemia—has not held back from sharing his thoughts about Love Story, despite creator Ryan Murphy claiming Jack had no right to be upset because he likely didn’t have a clear memory of his late uncle. 

"Hey @ryanmurphyproductions," Jack wrote on Instagram in July. "My earliest memories are of John calling me Jackolatern and 'the nudist,' picking me up from school, his Pontiac convertible."

"I remember being the ring bearer at his wedding and the day he died," Jack continued. "I remember Wyclef singing at his funeral."
