Nicole Kidman’s Daughter Sunday Rose, 17, Breaks Met Gala Rule With 2026 Debut
You ain’t never seen Doja Cat with hair like this.
The “Say So” singer made quite the statement while attending the 2026 Met Gala in New York City on May 4, debuting blonde hair that had been red just one day earlier.
Leaning into the event’s “Costume Art” theme and “Fashion Is Art” dress code, Doja (real name Amala Ratna Zandile Dlamini) wore a tan-colored ensemble courtesy of Saint Laurent. Doja was a vision in beige, in fact, making sure it wasn't only her hair that perfectly matched the color of her dress, but also her shoes and nails. The night was also a special one for Doja, as it marked her first time serving on the event’s hosting committee. The 30-year-old was joined by Zoë Kravitz, Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Misty Copeland and Lena Dunham, while Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams served as cochairs this year alongside Anna Wintour.
Doja is no stranger to turning heads on the Met Gala staircase. After all, the “Get into It (Yuh)” rapper has attended the event three times before—and seems to level up her look each year.
In 2023, for the event’s “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” theme, Doja served major cattitude in a custom beaded Oscar de la Renta gown which had a dramatic feathered train and a cat-ear hood. She further put the “cat” in Doja Cat by wearing cat-eye eyeliner, a cat nose and a gemstone on the center of her forehead in of the late designer’s famed cat Choupette.
The following year, Doja went for a sexier look in a wet T-shirt dress that hugged her curves. She further channeled the "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion" exhibition with mascara smears running down her face.

She later explained the decision behind her dress, noting that she ultimately wanted to stand out.
"I know that people were going to do flowers, so my flower of choice was the most-used flower and it's cotton," she told Entertainment Tonight in 2024. "So, I wanted to do a white T-shirt because a white T-shirt is timeless and felt very poetic, and I knew it wasn't really going to blend in. I really don't like to blend in."
As for last year’s Met Gala, Doja rocked a structured pinstripe blazer embellished with a leopard-print corset motif to meet the "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style" theme and "Tailored for You" dress code. She completed the look with black tights—sans pants—a fur cap and a bold red lip.
