Ed Sheeran Shares Update on Wife Cherry Seaborn After "Scary” Past Cancer Diagnosis
Ed Sheeran is thinking out loud about his new haircut.
The “Thinking Out Loud” singer revealed he shaved off his usual shaggy locks to mark the beginning of a new chapter.
“Yes I’ve shaved my hair,” Ed wrote in an April 28 Instagram post featuring a photo of his new ‘do and other insights into his life lately. “I wanted to shave it to signify a fresh start. A lot of new beginnings in my life atm.”
“I Iove it,” he added, “thinking of keeping it this way.”
In the candid snap, Ed, 35, looks at the ground as he puts his new haircut on display. Sporting a white T-shirt and black sweatpants, the “Shape of You” hitmaker gave the camera a shy smile as he placed a hand behind his head.
In addition to his new look, the singer-songwriter also revealed he privately battled Shingles.
“Ive had shingles for the last month,” he wrote of the virus that often causes painful rashes, “wouldn’t recommend it, but on the mend now.”
But the Grammy winner’s hair change wouldn’t be his only transformation as of late. After all, Ed—dad to daughters Lyra, 5, and Jupiter, 3, with wife Cherry Seaborn—recently detailed what inspired his 30-pound weight loss.

“I became a dad,” Ed told Men’s Health UK in an interview published in December. “I remember Lyra was two weeks old and I had my best mate round and we had a bottle of wine. I went to bed, then Lyra woke up 20 minutes after I’d fallen asleep.”
“I was like, ‘F--k, I probably shouldn’t drink if I’m going to feel this dreadful,’” he recalled. “‘I want to be able to do the night stuff.’”
He also wanted to be able to keep up with his little ones.
“I didn’t want to pick my kid up,” he explained, “and have my back f--ked and stuff like that.”
Plus, he felt it time to make an overall change in his life. As he put it, “It all came in at the same time of wanting to be a responsible dad, wanting to feel and look good.”

In order to attain his ripped physique, the “Perfect” singer revealed he’s added running, weight lifting and reformer Pilates into his routine.
And the results have been far more rewarding than just the physical payoff.
“I do think that wellness is a direct mirror to mental health and the way you feel,” he explained. “I always felt like s--t within myself; I’d wake up and look in the mirror and just feel gross.”
“I’m not saying I’m done with enjoying myself, I still drink,” he added. “I love red wine, I love a nice meal, but it’s not every day.”
