Nicole Kidman’s Daughter Sunday Rose, 17, Breaks Met Gala Rule With 2026 Debut
Babygirl has a bangin' new look.
Nicole Kidman is no stranger to switching up her glam on the red carpet—and the Met Gala 2026 was no exception.
The Babygirl actress—who is serving as co-chair for the May 4 fashion fundraiser—debuted dramatic long locks that reached all the way down to her waist while arriving to the "Costume Art"-themed bash at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in what might be her longest hairdo in recent years.
In addition to styling her blonde hair super straight so that it flowed effortlessly down her back to her bum (thanks to stylist Gucci Westman), the Oscar winner completed the bombshell ensemble with edgy bangs. (See every star as they arrive to the Met Gala 2026 here.)
As for her interpretation of this year's dress code "Fashion Is Art," Kidman looked red-hot in a crimson sequined gown from Chanel featuring feathery sleeves and feather accents around the hips.
Of course, the 58-year-old wasn't alone for fashion's biggest night.
Kidman posed for photos with her and Keith Urban's daughter Sunday Rose. The 17-year-old proved she's following in her mom's fashionable footsteps in a conceptual pink and purple look with floral details.
Kidman's cascading tresses are a major departure from her 2025 Met Gala glam.
Last year, the Aussie native—also mom to daughter Faith Margaret, 15, with ex Keith Urban, as well as Bella Cruise, 33, and Connor Cruise, 31, with ex Tom Cruise—once again proved she's a red carpet chameleon by ditching her signature long locks. Instead, hairstylist Adir Abergel chopped her hair to the nape of her neck while leaving a wispy side bang to hang long over her face.

And what looked like an updo from the front was all party in the back after Abergel colored her roots brunette.
As it turned out, Kidman's unexpected look had a special connection to the event’s 2025 theme.

“Met Gala 2025: The Superfine tailored short cut,” Adir wrote on Instagram following the May 5, 2025 event. “The inspiration was a tailored short cut that brought out the essence of Dandyism on Nicole Kidman.”
The stylist continued, “I wanted to celebrate this years theme by honoring the Dandies and their individuality, elegance, and confidence—where every detail is tailored to that unique person.”
