Alex Cooper Leaves TikTok Over Treatment of Women Weeks After Calling Out Alix Earle

Alex Cooper wants her daddy gang to band together.

Amid her rumored rift with Alix Earle, the Call Her Daddy podcast host revealed that misogyny on social media prompted her to delete the TikTok app off her phone—and her guest Tana Mangeau admitted to having a similar experience with sexism online.

“Society wants a woman to shut the f--k up so badly,” Tana said on the May 13 episode of the show, “and we have to band together as women and double and triple and quadruple down on the fact that no, we’re not.”

Alex agreed, noting she has had similar conversations with Michelle Obama, Shonda Rimes, Kerry Washington and the late Jane Goodall, who told her, “We all know this, and now what?”

"That's what I'm trying to figure out in my own journey,” the 31-year-old continued. “We're all aware of the double standard. We're all aware of how we love to pit women against women and how it's such an easy narrative. So why is nothing changing?"

And after Tana shared that she limits her exposure to short-form content like TikTok videos because of its negativity against women, Alex admitted, "I deleted the app."

A month before Alex’s revelation, she called on Alix—whose Hot Mess podcast was inexplicably dropped from Alex’s Unwell Network in February 2025—to “stop hiding” when it comes to her supposed “beef,” saying in a TikTok video in April, “You're going to need to get specific and just say what you got to say about me.”

Since then, though, neither influencer has gotten specific about their side of the feud. In fact, Alix sidestepped the topic during a recent appearance on the Today show.

"You know, well, I'm trying to keep things pretty positive today,” she said on the May 12 episode. “We don't actually have that much time here, honestly, and also, it's like, why ruin such a good day with something not so great. Let's keep the positive vibes going."

August 2023: Welcome to Unwell

Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper launched The Unwell Network, signing on TikToker Alix Earle as one of the media production company's first talents to "develop a variety of multiplatform concepts and projects."

"Alix took the U.S. by storm with her 'get ready with me' videos, college lifestyle, and endearing personality," Cooper said in a press release at the time. "I feel honored to be at a place in my career where I can pass along knowledge and advice for a new generation of creators to flourish."

Earle's Hot Mess podcast premiered the following month.

August 2024: Call Her a Dealmaker

As her three-year contract with Spotify came to an end, Cooper inked a deal with SiriusXM reportedly worth $125 million to bring The Unwell Network—including Call Her Daddy and Cooper's Hot Mess podcast—to the broadcaster.

February 2025: Dropping Hot Mess

Shortly after Earle skipped Unwell's Super Bowl party in New Orleans despite being in town for the big game, news broke that her Hot Mess podcast had been dropped by the company.

In addition, SiriusXM reportedly renounced its rights to the show and stopped selling ads for the program.

March 2025: Get Ready for Drama

Earle hinted at possible tension behind her departure from Unwell, announcing a "pause on podcasting right now for the foreseeable future."

"Don't really want to get into the details of it all, and I kind of can't get into the details of it all right now," she said in a March 26 TikTok, "but I've loved it so much, and I'm really proud of what I built with the podcast."

However, Cooper was quick to shut down speculation that Earle's podcasting hiatus had to do with Unwell, insisting that the influencer retained the Hot Mess property in the split.

"Idk why she can’t/what’s going on," Cooper wrote on Instagram Story that same day. "Unwell gave her everything back she owns her IP."

Summer 2025: Tea Is Brewing

Earle continued to play coy about what went down in her exit from Unwell, teasing in a May 2025 interview with the WSJ. Magazine, "That was, behind the scenes, a little bit of a hot mess."

And when a fan begged her to "tell us what happened with Alex Cooper" in an August 2025 TikTok, Earle cryptically wrote back, "How much time do you have?"

April 13, 2026: Called Out

Cooper slammed Earle for acting "passive aggressive" on social media, bluntly telling her in a TikTok video, "You're going to need to get specific and just say what you got to say about me. There's no NDA, no one is stopping you."

“What's the beef? Because I'm really tired of waking up and seeing you using this big drama to distract from other s--t going online for you," Cooper continued. "So talk, unless the fake narrative that you're creating happens to be way more interesting than the truth, I have nothing to hide when it comes to you and me."

In response, Earle simply commented, "Okay on it!!"

April 15, 2026: Team Alix

Brianna "Chickenfry" LaPaglia, who worked with Cooper's former Barstool Sports boss Dave Portnoy on the BFFs podcast, threw her support for Earle once their feud went public.

"I was a fan of Alex Cooper before I knew the wrath of f--king Alex Cooper," she said in a TikTok video, "and what she does to people and how she treats people."

LaPaglia went on to allege that she had gotten the tea about the Hot Mess drama two years prior, saying, "From what Alix Earle told me, Alex Cooper is a very, very mean person."

April 15, 2026: "Mean Girl"

Cooper clapped back at LaPaglia after being accused of being a "mean girl," writing on Instagram Stories, "Here are the facts. I have never met you in my life. The only communication we have ever had together is through dm."

To back up her point, the Unwell founder posted screenshots of their alleged private correspondence over the years, in which the two traded kind words, as well as exchanged numbers and party invites.

"What I just showed is the only interaction we've ever had. And you hate me?" Cooper added. "That has never been the nature of our relationship."

May 2026

During a May 12 appearance on the Today show, Alix sidestepped any discussion of her rift with Alex.

"You know, well, I'm trying to keep things pretty positive today,” she said while keeping focus on her Sports Illustrated cover. “We don't actually have that much time here, honestly, and also, it's like, why ruin such a good day with something not so great. Let's keep the positive vibes going."

Meanwhile, a month after calling Alix out, Alex revealed on the May 13 episode of Call Her Daddy that misogyny on TikTok prompted her to leave the platform, noting she "deleted the app."
