Katie Holmes and Her Mom Kathleen Holmes Make Rare Joint Appearance at American Ballet Theatre Gala
Katie Holmes' night out with her mom was en pointe.
Indeed, the Dawson's Creek alum and her mom Kathleen Holmes stepped out for a rare mother-daughter appearance at the American Ballet Theatre's 2026 Spring Gala in New York City May 20.
And the outing was truly a special event. After all, Katie, 47,—mom to Suri Cruise, 20, with ex Tom Cruise—was honored at the gala for her longtime support of ABT and advocacy of the arts, per a press release from the dance company.
While posing for photos on the red carpet at the event, which featured a preview of Don Quixote, the Batman Begins actress and her mom kept everyone on their toes as they made a stylish pair.
Katie stunned in a white two-piece spaghetti strap ensemble that featured a patterned overlay, pairing the look with a diamond choker necklace and chic T-strap sandals. Kathleen, meanwhile, wore a tan and black printed midi dress with puffed sleeves, along with black loafers and a matching handbag. She added a pop of color with fun red frames.
And Katie's evening with her mom in the Big Apple comes after the First Daughter star also turned heads during a recent night out in New York City.
Indeed, Katie made waves when she reunited with her Dawson's Creek costar Joshua Jackson at a screening of the Brunello: The Gracious Visionary documentary April 14.
Yet, what came after the reunion between the former couple—they dated during the first season of their teen drama before their characters became endgame—was what really had fans of the hit teen drama series buzzing.
The pair raised eyebrows after Katie liked social media comments about the duo's relationship status.
After she shared a promotional photo for her and Joshua's upcoming romantic comedy Happy Hours, which showed Katie with her arms around her costar, in April, one fan wrote in the comments, "Wish this was a hard launch,” while another noted the pair "should be a couple." Both comments earned a heart from Katie.

Although the Broadway star didn't directly address the sweet comments from fans, she did tease what it was like about getting to work with Joshua again on the project.
"So many beautiful people worked on this project," she wrote in an April 16 Instagram post. "And working with Josh again was a dream."
