Kingston Rumi Southwick Reveals What Fans Can Expect From Widow’s Bay Season 2
Sabba Rahbar, · 2026-06-27 · via E! Online (US) - Top Stories

Widow's Bay Actor Kingston Rumi Southwick Teases More Horror for Season 2

Forget a relaxing trip to Martha's Vineyard—Kingston Rumi Southwick wants Widow's Bay to get even more haunted.

In fact, the 18-year-old is hoping that his character Evan has the chance to really lean into the horror vibes when the series—which follows the lives of residents in a New England island town that is afflicted by a centuries-old curse—returns to Apple TV for season two.

“I didn't get to do a lot of horror specific things,” Southwick told E! News in an exclusive interview, “and I really want like some dumb something to happen to Evan. Another horror trope.”

And the Widow's Bay star is already toiling with a few ideas that the series—which also stars Matthew Rhys, Kate O’Flynn and Stephen Root—could tackle for its second season

“Ghosts—that I really want to get into,” he mused. “I know we kind of touched on a witch thing. It would be fun to see Kate do some more witchy things. And then even like a Shining-esque episode, somebody goes stir crazy on the island.”

As for his character Evan, Southwick didn’t want to reveal too much about what might be happening to him in season two. He did, however, share that he’s thrilled about the direction Evan is headed

“I’m just excited,” he raved. “I’m excited for him and it's going to be a great season.”

And while he anxiously awaits the start of filming for season two, Southwick can hardly believe how much viewers loved the first season of Widow’s Bay.

Apple TV

“A lot of people connected to it,” he shared, “and I was like, ‘Wow.’”

Plus, he’s found that being on the show has already changed his life in a number of ways that he never expected.

“Anytime I go to an event or something, people are like, ‘We love that show,’ and I'm like, ‘Really?’” Southwick said. “And the funny thing with actors, too, is that anytime I go to any event for actors, they're like, ‘Who's gonna be in season two?’”

Season one of Widow’s Bay is currently streaming on Apple TV.

For a look at all the shows hitting the small screen this year, keep reading.
