Lisa Kudrow Reveals She Was Mistaken for Dionne Warwick
Lisa Kudrow keeps smilin’ over this hilarious fan interaction.
After all, the Friends actress revealed a truly befuddling encounter when she was confused with music legend Dionne Warwick. Yes, you read that correctly.
“It was during Friends, and I was going to Jerry's Deli or something,” Kudrow recalled during a Hollywood Reporter roundtable conversation with Keke Palmer, Quinta Brunson, Rachel Sennott and more comedians, “and the hostess goes ‘Oh! OK. I’ll show you your table.’ And I went, ‘Aw she’s seen Friends that’s cute.’”
But, as it turned out, the hostess was a much bigger fan Warwick’s 1985 song “That’s What Friends Are For”—and not the sitcom starring Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer.
“She took me to the table and she had an accent—she was from somewhere in Eastern Europe—and just went, ‘Uh, I know who you are,’” Kudrow continued. “She said, ‘You are Dionne Warwick’ And I just went, ‘No, I’m not!’”
Initially, the 62-year-old was relieved she was not actually recognized by the fan, but then confusion settled in.
“Then it was, ‘Wait, Dionne Warwick? Why would you think I’m Dionne Warwick.’” Kudrow recalled. “I just went, ‘She’s a legend. She’s a legendary singer.’ And she just went, ‘Oh, OK.’ I just thought it was the funniest thing ever.”
Afterwards, Palmer chimed in with, “Girl if you Dionne Warwick, I’m Stevie Nicks.”
Kudrow isn’t the only star who has been confused with another celebrity in public. Emily Blunt once revealed a hilarious interaction with a 6-year-old who played a guessing game to figure out how she knew her.

“She went, ‘Are you the girl from the Gilmore Girls?’ Blunt recalled during a 2012 appearance on The Graham Norton Show. “And I said, ‘No, no I’m not,’ And she went, ‘Hm. Are you the girl from the Bridge to Terabithia?’ And I said, ‘No, no I’m not,’ and she said, ‘Oh.’”
Losing momentum, Blunt recalled the young fan ended up just walking away.
“And I heard myself go, scream at her, ‘But I was in The Devil Wears Prada!’” Blunt reluctantly admitted, “And she turned—and her father looked a bit shocked that I had screamed at her—and she went, ‘I haven’t seen that movie.’”

The Help co-stars look so alike that director Ron Howard mistook Chastain for his own daughter.
At an Apple Store, "I was, like, walking by, I was like, 'Oh, that's Ron Howard,'" Chastain recalled. "And then my friend was with me (and) said he turned to someone, he goes, 'I think I just saw Bryce.' We look so much alike."

"To the woman in the parking lot who just asked me if I was Carrie Underwood," the Legally Blonde star tweeted, "You officially made my day."
The Grammy winner quickly responded, "YOUR day?!?!?!?! That lady just made my whole life!"
