"She knows every single person's name, she asks us for our ideas," Jack revealed, adding that the Batman Begins actress is "just the most generous, nice person. I could not wish better for somebody. She deserves all the success."

The 27-year-old—who has been dating Lili Reinhart since spring 2023—also revealed just how influential his time on set with Katie, 47, was.

"She really encourages people to love themselves and bring that into their performances," he explained. "I felt a little nervous going into that set because she's so amazing, and everybody she hired for that movie is so amazing."

"They're storied, storied people between Joshua Jackson and everybody else, that it was a little intimidating," Jack admitted. "She encouraged me to have confidence and bring my own ideas and bring my own flair to it. I thought that was so cool and I think that makes the project a lot better."

Katie—who made her feature film directorial debut in 2016 with All We Had—announced her film in July 2025, sharing just how thrilled she was to be working with Joshua again 23 years after their iconic WB series ended.

"Working with Josh after so many years is a testament to friendship," she wrote on Instagram in July 2025. "HAPPY HOURS is a love story that includes so many people I adore. We can't wait for everyone to see what we make."
