Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith’s Daughter Stella Banderas Marries Alex Gruzynki
Antonio Banderas may have left Hollywood, but he has good reason to visit now and then.
During his most recent outing to Los Angeles, the 65-year-old enjoyed some family time with ex-wife Melanie Griffith, their daughter Stella Banderas, and her husband Alex Gruszynski, sharing a sweet snap of them piled on a couch together on social media.
“A lovely and fun moment yesterday in Los Angeles,” he wrote on X on April 27, “with my son-in-law Alex, my daughter Stella, and my ex-wife and lifelong friend, Melanie.”
While Antonio and Alex are seen smiling at the camera, the mother-daughter duo are beside themselves with laughter.
Although Antonio and Melanie divorced in 2015, they are no strangers to reuniting, not only as co-parents but also good friends. Despite the breakup, the Legend of Zorro actor previously told Vulture in 2019, “I am not married with Melanie anymore but she is my family. She is probably one of my best friends, if not the best friend that I have.”
And prior to their weekend, the pair most recently reconnected at Stella and Alex’s wedding in October. After his daughter got married, Antonio paid tribute to the 29-year-old and their blended family in a touching Instagram video clipping together her childhood photos.
“The wedding of my daughter Stella has turned into a heartfelt family reunion, emotional, joyful, and full of laughter,” he wrote in the caption. “Thank you to everyone who made this possible.”
Meanwhile, Melanie—who is also mom to Dakota Johnson, 36, Jesse Johnson, 43, and Alexander Bauer, 40—celebrated by revealing some wedding photos, including a snap of her former husband walking Stella down the aisle.
“This was the most joyful, loving, sweet, magnificent time!!” the 68-year-old gushed in an Instagram post. “So much love!”

The Puss in Boots star remains close to his family, even if he no longer lives in LA. When he’s not visiting family in Hollywood, Antonio resides in his hometown of Málaga, Spain, with his longtime girlfriend Nicole Kimpel.
Regarding his move back to Spain, he told The Times on March 25, “I have never been so happy."
And the Philadelphia alum isn’t the only one to cross the world for family. Stella makes sure to keep in touch with her Spanish roots, opting to tie the knot in Valladolid, Spain, last year.
“She’s very Andalusian, very much from Málaga, even if she grew up in the U.S,” Antonio explained to Hola! about his daughter’s destination wedding. “This is her way of reconnecting with her roots and sharing her homeland with her future husband and his family.”
