The Met Gala steps are about to come alive.
That's because fashion's biggest night of the year—a.k.a. the Met Gala 2026—is only days away.
On Monday, May 4, the most stylish celebrities and industry icons will ascend the staircase outside New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art dressed to the nines in jaw-dropping designer looks for the annual fashion fundraiser.
And judging from the guest list, this year's bash promises to be a masterpiece of must-see moments.
Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams will serve as co-chairs for the "Costume Art"-themed event with support from host committee members Teyana Taylor, Zoë Kravitz, Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat and more.

"You’re always excited to see the way people interpret the theme and 'Fashion as Art' is a very broad theme," celebrity stylist Law Roach told E! News in March while teasing what to expect. "So, maybe we’ll see someone dressed as the Mona Lisa, which I’m sure somebody will do that."

This year's theme is "Costume Art" with a dress code of "Fashion Is Art" meant to encourage Met Gala attendees to consider how a designer uses their body as a "blank canvas."
In addition to Anna Wintour—who always sits at the helm of the annual fashion event and fundraiser—Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams have been tapped to co-chair alongside the Vogue global editorial director.

The event’s host committee includes fashionable stars of stage and screen like Zoë Kravitz, Sabrina Carpenter, Doja Cat, Teyana Taylor, Misty Copeland, Lena Dunham and more.
