Ultrasound Therapy to Stimulate Collagen? K-Beauty’s Quadthera Titan Makes the Case
Audrey Noble · 2026-04-29 · via Vogue

It’s the age-old question for any at-home skin device: can you get clinical results from the comfort of your own home and—most importantly—at a fraction of the cost of an in-office treatment? The latest device to claim that it can do that and more is the Quadthera Titan.

Based on ultrasound therapy, Quadthera Titan is a skin-care device that firms and rejuvenates your skin sans the visit to a doctor. Wonuk Hwang, MD, cosmetic physician and surgeon at Cheongdam Le Belle Clinic in Seoul, explains that in-clinic ultrasound-based devices are able to deliver focused thermal energy to the skin and stimulate collagen. The result is tighter and more lifted skin without surgery, and has quickly become one of the most popular skin treatments in South Korea. Dr. Hwang says that top Korean clinics today use ultrasound therapy as part of a broader layered strategy, and you’ll find it alongside laser and radiofrequency treatments, and biostimulator use, rather than just a standalone solution.

But these in-office treatments are pricey. According to Quadthera Titan’s website, getting ultrasound therapy at the recommended once a month can cost you almost $11k in three years. Relatively speaking (and if you abide by the “cost per use” rule of shopping), the $1,200 that you spend on this singular device will save you thousands in the long run. So the question remains: can the Quadthera Titan live up to the hype? Before you hit *add to cart,* here’s everything you need to know.

Quadthera Titan

Vogue’s Kiana Murden tests the Quadthera Titan.

Titan

  • Why We Love It: Powered by ultrasound therapy, this creates up to 19 million vibration cycles per second to treat an array of skin concerns. Its benefits span from firming and lift to smoothing texture and tone. To use, simply choose your intensity level and glide slowing over the face for up to ten minutes. Easy to use with minimal downside, there’s little reason not to incorporate it into your routine.
  • Device Type: Multi-Frequency Cosmetic Ultrasound
  • Best For: Smoothing out uneven texture and tone, reduce the appearance of fine lines
  • Specs: 5 Care Modes; 1/3/10/19 MHz; Titanium Treatment Head; Rechargeable Battery

About the Quadthera Titan

The Quadthera Titan uses four ultrasound frequencies—1, 3, 10, 19 megahertz (MHz)—to firm and lift, smooth out texture and tone, reduce the appearance of fine lines, and boost your overall glow, and you can choose from five different modes to focus on a specific skin concern. It’s made with a titanium head that transfers energy to get your desired results and you can switch between two intensities to make sure you feel comfortable throughout each session.

Dr. Hwang says that compared to in-office ultrasound therapy treatments, the Quadthera Titan operates at a much lower energy level. These devices also do not have precise depth targeting as in-office devices to really stimulate collagen for noticeable differences in your skin.

While he says you’ll see changes in your skin around the four to six week mark, he does emphasize that these results are minimal and superficial. So it might be best to temper your expectations. “The difference is not just strength, but fundamental capability,” he adds.

How to Use the Quadthera Titan

Using the device is quite simple. You’ll first want to apply conductive gel (either the included ForHertz products or a water-based gel), either on the device or directly on cleansed skin, so that it can glide gently across. Then you can choose from the five modes to focus on, based on what skin concern you want to address. It is recommended that you only use the device in total for 10 minutes, and you’ll get a 5-minute warning to help you keep track of time. After that, you can continue on with the rest of your skin-care routine.

Dr. Hwang says there is no standardized clinical protocol for how to use devices like these, but generally you could use it two to three times a week depending on the manufacturer and how well your skin tolerates it. While the Quadthera Titan markets itself safe enough for daily use, he says that increasing the frequency of how often you use it does not equate to better results.

My Experience With the Quadthera Titan

Of all the devices I’ve ever used, the Quadthera Titan is the most subtle. Many times during the first two weeks I started questioning if I was using it correctly because I could not feel anything. But the device did start to heat up around the eight minute mark and the results started slowly coming in.

I used it over four weeks, four to five times a week. While I don’t think my skin looks any more lifted, I do feel that my skin is a tiny bit smoother. The bags under my eyes are also less noticeable and my complexion glows a little bit more, which I do love.

Is the Quadthera Titan Worth It

Determining if the Quadthera Titan is worth its $1,200 price tag is all dependent on your specific needs. As Dr. Hwang puts it: if your goal is lifting, contouring, or structural rejuvenation, this might not be the device for you. But if you’re looking for something that’s pretty low maintenance, has minimal risk, and gives you a subtle boost in your skin overall (and if you don’t mind the hefty price point), then why not? Just be sure you’re consistent with it to make that investment worth it.
