Livia Schück, who has created the last two Rave Review seasons on her own while Josephine Bergqvist is on maternity leave, stresses that her work is built on the foundation that the friends created together. It’s true that Schück’s solo collections, combined with the brand’s co-designed spring 2026 show, form a trilogy—one that showcases a new sense of lightness.

The RR founders have taken a much needed—if not total—break from the patchwork technique that garnered them so much attention from the start. The method, which allowed the duo to work only with existing materials, had been getting repetitive. It was time to explore alternative ways to “mix and merge different fabrics,” as Schück put it.

Prime among them is bonding fabrics. Schück created a feeling of romantic airiness when she topped a sheer organza with a printed bed sheet and then cut away some of the top layer to reveal the under one. The pieces that were cut out were then attached to the garment, to look “like butterflies.” On the first outfit, where two floral textiles are bonded, the cutaway pieces look like they are peeling off. Fabric mixes were also achieved through two-in-one looks and with layering.

One of Schück’s starting points was paper dolls; she snipped away not only at bonded fabrics, but created small slits at the hems of slip dresses, and cut backs open as well.

Newness enters into the offering through the use of slippery materials and draping; note the dresses with the “waterfall” detail. “I think we never really worked this much with silks,” Schück said. “There’s a lot of quite fine and fluid materials.” The suppleness of these fabrics contributed to the “wearable, summery, feminine” vibe the designer was after. Adding a touch of Swedish summer are the painted shoes inspired by a pair of vintage clogs with traditional Dalmålning motifs.

Schück was focused on things “that I actually want to wear,” she said: easy, flattering, also quite transformative.” To that end a trench has a detachable scarf and there are wrap skirts and ties that allow the wearer to adjust the fit and look of the garments as they please.
