Typically, people align themselves into two wardrobe categories: You’re a lover of layered-up fall fashion, or prefer slinky summer dressing in stead. But let’s not discount the thrills of spring style! The transitional season is the best time to start embracing upbeat colors, easy-breezy silhouettes, and a more skin-revealing mood—all without the sweltering summer heat. This week’s best dressed stars certainly understood the appeal of spring dressing. They nailed the art of dressing for those in-between months, choosing looks that were effortless yet still striking.
Naturally, a lot of the week’s most memorable moments came out of Cannes, where the 2026 film festival is currently underway, and the red carpet is hot. Just a week in, and there’s already been plenty of glamour to behold. Mom-to-be Barbara Palvin, for one, glowed in her cornflower blue Miu Miu gown with a feathered trim. Director Chloé Zhao—who has been serving looks all week long—turned heads in her spiked Schiaparelli skirt suit, while Kristen Stewart embraced semi-naked dressing in Chanel.
But it wasn’t just the glitz and glam of the Croisette at Cannes that defined the week’s suite of perfect spring-ready outfits. In New York City, Lindsay Lohan attended the resort 2027 Gucci show in a sleek leather dress. (Very Tom Ford-era Gucci—stretched taut by Demna.) Taylor Swift also attended a friend’s wedding in Bushwick, where she wore a golden silk Maria Lucia Hohan dress with cut-outs at the waist. The pop star has been spotted out and about in Manhattan all week long—meaning, is this also going to be a summer full of Swiftie sightings? Keep your eyes peeled.
