Is Olivia Rodrigo Out Here Bidding on Vintage Tees?

It’s going to be a good summer for Olivia Rodrigo fans. For starters, the singer is releasing her highly-anticipated third studio album, you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, on June 12. She then also kicks off her Unraveled tour in September. Ahead of all the buzz, Rodrigo was spotted out and about in London today—presumably to do some sort of early promo work for the new music—and she wore a very Olivia Rodrigo outfit to do so.

The star wore a Sex Pistols tee that read “Anarchy in the U.K.” The pink tee—bearing the face of the late Soo Catwoman, who is now deemed “the female face of punk”—is similar to vintage versions that came out around the 1980s (a true collector’s item, no doubt). Rodrigo’s tee, though, looks undeniably crisp and unworn, meaning it could be a new re-released version of one. She paired it with a saucy little leather mini skirt, a sleek Paloma Wool bag, and calf-height boots.

Whether it’s vintage or vintage-inspired, Rodrigo is no stranger to wearing a cool throwback tee: The star has a whole collection of them, be it a Pat Benatar band tee from the 1980s, or a 2000s-era Angelina Jolie one. Her affinity for them makes sense for her personal style, since she often leans into vintage or archival designer. But still, the sheer volume of graphic tees that her wardrobe holds is impressive: She or her stylists, Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo, clearly has a whole section of their wardrobe budget dedicated to finding such retro gems.

The question is. . . does Olivia Rodrigo have a burner eBay account dedicated to ’80s tees? Or better yet, maybe she is an in-person vintage shopper, finding great joy in scouring the vintage racks in whatever city she is performing. When she comes to New York, we have some shop recommendations for her. A Metropolis visit, anyone?
