After a banner year—including a buzzy collaboration with A24’s Marty Supreme and a recent return to the Paris runway—designer Doni Nahmias is back with another collaboration that will no doubt leave his growing fanbase of streetwear bros talking. LA-based Nahmias has moved on from the fictional world of competitive ping pong and into the very real world of Formula 1 racing. Starting tomorrow, fans of F1 and fashion (there’s gotta be some overlap there, right?) can get their hands on a limited-edition Nahmias x Formula 1 collaboration—which includes track suits, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and trucker hats all evoking a prep-meets-race track vibe—available both online and IRL at a pop-up shop in Miami’s Design District, timed to coincide with Grand Prix weekend.
Nahmias is quickly establishing himself as a savvy master of drumming up hype for his projects (take, for example, the success of that Marty Supreme capsule, which was so immense that police reinforcements were called in to both the New York and Los Angeles pop-ups to monitor crowds). But Nahmias says that this Formula 1 collaboration was in the works well before people were camping out all-night in hopes of scoring a Marty Supreme warm-up jacket. “We were having conversations prior to the Marty movement,” he explained, “but it came to life throughout the craziness of that campaign.”

In recent years, Nahmias has cemented his reputation as something of a go-to among athletes both fictional and real. Of course there’s Timothee Chalamet’s onscreen avatar Marty Mauser. But in the real world the brand is a IYKYK flex amongst some of the industry’s biggest athletes, like Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark, and even race car driver Charles Leclerc who, as fate would have it, recently fronted the campaign for Nahmias’s Puma collaboration. For Nahmias, sports has always been a foundational part of his lifestyle: he grew up playing T-ball and soccer, and these days he still makes time to play basketball with friends three times a week. Additionally, Nahmias not only dresses these high-profile athletes but also maintains close friendships with them outside of work.
Formula 1 was an obvious next step after being introduced to the sport through Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc eight years ago. “I dove right into the world of Formula 1 with him and found it to be so fascinating,” he said. “The whole sport, what these drivers do and everything that goes into building the cars, is just mind-blowing. It’s an incredible sport.”

It’s also something of a notable move into the fashion space for Formula 1, which has, so far, kept the industry at an arm’s distance. As of now, its most famous collabs include Tommy Hilfiger (via Mercedes) and Armani (through a partnership with Ferrari). So this link-up not only opens up the world of racing to a fanbase beyond the 827 million (!) who follow the sport on television and into the world of menswear and streetwear obsessives who might not be on the bandwagon quite yet. For the occasion, they photographed the legendary racing driver Sir Jackie Stewart in the bucolic English countryside, highlighting both the stiff-upper-lip traditionalism of the sport as well as the new, contemporary era it intends to follow by tapping a streetwear savant like Nahmias.

Even with rising demands for Nahmias products, the designer aims to maintain the buzz-inducing method that made his past collaborations such hits: great design and limited distribution. So if you’re in Miami, plan on rolling up to the pop-up early (starting time: 11 a.m.) as everything will be sold on a first come first serve basis. Gentlemen—start your engines.
The Nahmias x Formula 1 Collaboration will be available online at nahmias.com and formula1.com starting April 30 at 9 a.m. EST. and in-person at 151 NE 41st Street in Miami’s Design District from 11 a.m. EST to 8 p.m. EST, April 30, through May 4, 2026.
