Men’s fashion week might be taking place during a heatwave this year—both Milan and Paris are seeing record-high temperatures—but that doesn’t seem to be affecting the street style scene one bit. As usual, the attendees are bringing their summer best.

To beat the heat, showgoers seem to be relying on one, two, and three-piece formulas consisting of airy dresses, lightweight separates, and playful accessories. There are the requisite jolts of color, from a bright red shirt moment in Paris to Vogue Italia’s Marta Oldrini, who sported a sunny yellow look in Milan. Otherwise, there was a lot of white—including one great head-to-toe look that embodied Parisian ease.
Ahead, all our street style highlights from men’s week, with outfit ideas on how to recreate each.

A Pop of Red
Breezy separates are always a good call when the heat wave strikes. A crisp poplin shirt in bold red livens up a neutral linen skirt. Finish the look with warm-weather standbys, like a raffia tote and mesh flats.

Warm Days, Sunny Wears
Vogue Italia’s Marta Oldrini embodies the playful spirit of summer in a pleated button-down, semi-sheer skirt, and simple flip-flops. Consider this your cue to invest in similar staples with a twist.

Simple in Satin
Fashion week is nonstop—running from shows to market appointments to dinners’ out. A look that takes you from 9-to-9 is a must. A two-tone satin dress, grounded by ballet flats and a small tote, balances event-ready elegance and with the ease of daily dressing.

Tailored Proportions
It wouldn’t be men’s fashion week without great tailoring. A pin-tuck blouse paired with cropped black trousers keeps the silhouette sharp and minimal.

The Artful Clash
A grey sweater vest and billowy white skirt are great anchors for more fashion-forward accessories, like bottle green flip-flops and a fish pendant necklace. Prada’s pouch bag continues to be a street style favorite—it is fashion week, after all!

For the maximalist, summer is prime time to mix and match prints. Embrace the unexpected by juxtaposing lace with layered silk; the most interesting outfits rarely follow the rules.

Pendant, Please!
Let your accessories of the heavy lifting. When layered over tonal separates, a black beaded necklace adds a welcome bohemian touch.
