Blame it on the New Moon entering Aries this Friday, but astrology has been on our minds lately. In the office, we’ve started noticing the differences—and similarities—in how each sign dresses. The Aries in our circles (like Vogue’s Global Fashion Features Director Nicole Phelps) are all about the minimal color palette, while the Tauruses (like Vogue’s Global Social Media Director Sam Sussman) love colorful, screaming prints.
Extending our search beyond One World Trade Center, we deep dived through our extensive street style archive for more examples. We might not be astrologers, but clear sartorial patterns among the signs emerged. Not only do Leos love to wear feline prints, for example, but one wonders if Aquarians’ preference for Dior has anything to do with the fact that Christian Dior was born under that sign. Scorpio turns out to be the It-girl sign of astrology, while Libras are always one step ahead of the trends.
Disclaimer: This compilation is vibes-based rather than data-driven, and built around nuances we’ve noticed in the street style photographs of our editors and celebrities.
