Zoe Kravitz shows off her huge engagement ring while taking a walk in NYC

Zoë Kravitz is back in New York, after being photographed in London sporting her new engagement ring—an elongated cushion-cut diamond—which officially confirmed her plans to wed Harry Styles.

It looks like Kravitz was straight back to a load of laundry and immediately freshened up her capsule wardrobe favorites to wear in NYC: the actor wore her go-to black Gala pants from The Row, the brand’s Canal loafers, and Ella oval sunglasses. (Also by—you guessed it—The Row.) To keep warm in the spring chill, she added a gray Yvon Lambert “Boy Next Door” cap, and a statement piece of outerwear: a gray-brown suede Penny Lane-style coat with a tie-waist and cinnamon brown furry collar. And of course, Kravitz had her Jessica McCormack engagement ring on.

A lesson in real spring dressing.

Kravitz is a luxury layering aficionado: slouchy trousers, suede jackets, soft beanies, a bright red scarf for a pop of color. It’s often all thanks to her enviable collection of The Row, but she’s also coordinating faithfully with now-fiancé Styles.

The Afghan-style coat is a favorite among the street style stars, from Kravitz, to Bella Hadid, and Dua Lipa. But for many, it’s instantly recognizable as the piece worn by Kate Hudson as she portrayed the chic and alluring Penny Lane in Cameron Crowe’s Almost Famous. The movie’s costume designer Betsy Heimann has said that she meant for the shearling-lined number to function as Penny Lane’s armor while on the road with Stillwater—taking inspiration from both ’20s opera coats and Shirley MacLaine’s fur-lined frock coat in Billy Wilder’s The Apartment when she designed it. Even today, designers continue to put their stamp on the fuzzy-collared shearling-lined coat from Loewe to Acne Studios.

Unlike Penny Lane, Zoë Kravitz got the rockstar ring.
