As it developed, the collection became more about different expressions of femininity than a hybrid of these two opposing ways of dressing. Disrupting the brute masculinity of pinstripes, the basis of many a Wall Street uniform, the two designers cut this fabric into a body-defining dress with a flirtatious white-lined frill at the hem. A lacy slip dress layered under an organza overdress played with the idea of revelation. Offering a compromise between extremes was an ensemble that paired a lace-trimmed slip skirt with a boxy plaid coat in shades of gray.

Unusually, black was a primary hue here, which is in keeping with a trend we clocked for fall 2027. When it comes to updated basics, carrot-leg and creased jeans in a light wash moved beyond the barrel shape to create a sharper silhouette, while an oversized pink bouclé sweater with a button-in lining offered puffer-like warmth in a new soft and cozy form.
