If you’ve yet to hear the name Anna Lambe, you’re certainly about to. The 25-year-old Inuk actor is on the precipice with a big year in Hollywood on the horizon. Not only does season two of her hit show North of North hit Netflix this fall, but she's starring in not one but two buzzy films come September, including Heart of the Beast (with Brad Pitt) and the very hyped-up The Social Reckoning (with Jeremy Allen White, Mikey Madison, and Jeremy Strong). In other words, an Anna Lambe autumn is on the way.
While Lambe has also held roles in breakout shows like True Detective, it’s her starring position in North of North that has cemented her place in the spotlight. Premiering last year, the Canadian series—set in a fictitious town called Ice Cove in Nunavut, Canada—follows Siaja (Lambe) as a young Inuk mother who is trying to reinvent herself in her tiny Arctic community. The series has since gained critical praise for authentically bringing comedy, Indigenous representation, and Inuit style to a mainstream sitcom. “Being able to show Nunavut and Inuit culture on an international platform has been the greatest privilege,” Lambe tells Vogue. “Reading the scripts and shooting the first season, I knew we were making something that people would like. But the outpouring of love for the show, not only from Nunavummiut (people from Nunavut), but internationally, I couldn’t have expected.”
In the fall, season two of the series will hit Netflix, for which Lambe recently wrapped shooting. “Filming season two was a blast—a very cold, sometimes painfully so, blast,” jokes Lambe. “We got back to Iqaluit to film all of our exteriors, and it was -40°C for the first week, and didn’t get much warmer over the remaining weeks.” Despite the frigid conditions, though, it was all worth it: The actor is excited to bring fans even more humor—and stellar Indigenous designs. (Fun fact: Most of the costumes for the show are sourced from local Indigenous artists). “I’m so excited for people to see what we created,” says Lambe, “and I’m just as excited for people to see the BTS of how we did it—because it was damn hard!”

Anna Lambe gets ready for the Louis Vuitton resort 2027 show.
Her acting schedule may be booked and busy this year, but this week, Lambe took a breather from it all to partake in a different experience: Attending her first fashion show. Last night in New York, Lambe sat front row at the Louis Vuitton resort 2027 show, which designer Nicolas Ghesquière unveiled at The Frick museum, uptown. (Vuitton as your first fashion show? Not bad.) “I was so surprised when the invitation came through that I had to ask my team if they were sure it was real,” says Lambe. “I’m so happy to have been able to attend, and feel very lucky to be invited into the fashion space.”
The presentation, unsurprisingly, lived up to the hype: Lambe’s favorite part of the show was seeing Ghesquiere’s distinctive take on fashion through the decades. “I really enjoyed the journey through regions and decades throughout the show, almost like mini-collections within a collection,” says Lambe, who also loved the show soundtrack. “The lean into alternative, starting off with Peaches’s legendary ‘The Boys Wanna Be Her’ was such a fun way to start the show. Also, I absolutely loved the nod to Alyssa Liu’s halo hair on some of the models.” Her favorite looks from the collection, meanwhile, were the ensembles that leaned toward sporty-chic. “They felt so reflective of New York through a sports lens, specifically boxing,” says Lambe. “They reminded me a lot of the film Raging Bull, because of the time period they felt set in.”

Her own VIP outfit, however, was less athletic-inspired—and much more sleek and powerful. Lambe slipped into Vuitton’s leather dress and tailored black cape, paired with a monogrammed bag and ankle boots. “Going into the fitting for the show look, the only thing I knew I wanted was something strong,” says Lambe. “A look that was unexpected for me, something different. As soon as I got the cape on and looked in the mirror, I was sold on it.”
The head-to-toe black was also very fitting for a New York show: Locals love all-black, after all. “I was excited to do a monochrome look, and loved the small details of tiny LV markings through the outfit—on the back of the heels, in small tags on the cape. It felt subtle and sexy,” says Lambe. “I loved the statement of the cape—it felt very strong, and was something I knew I’d be confident in.”
For the star, whose day-to-day style typically leans a little more upbeat and easy-breezy, it was also fun to experiment with a different aesthetic. “Some weeks I’m leaning heavily into ’70s nostalgia, some weeks are very influenced by Danish street style, and some weeks I want to copy the way people from my community make going out on the land in parkas and rubber boots look glamorous,” says Lambe. “The common thread through it all, though, is always leaning into color and texture. Pops of color and textural elements like fur, feathers, beads, and fringe bring a bit more joy to my day-to-day life.”
Fashion aside, the rest of the actor’s year will certainly have a lot to be joyful about. Her film Heart of the Beast comes out on her birthday in September, and The Social Reckoning just a few weeks after that. No, there is not much she can tell us yet—so you will have to tune into a local big screen near you to find out. “NDAs scare me, so I try not to say too much,” jokes Lambe. “Being part of such high-calibre productions is an actor’s dream; I feel incredibly privileged to get to step on set and learn and contribute my small part of the big picture. It’s a very exciting Libra season ahead!”
