Summer is all about fun, no? When we think of the balmiest season, we’re frolicking on the beach or going on a much-needed vacation—and our fashions tend to match that lithe spirit. This week, the best dressed stars certainly agreed with this sentiment. They embraced striking looks that offered a sense of whimsy, and definitely did not take themselves too seriously.

Take Rama Duwaji: the First Lady of New York City attended the Knicks Parade on Thursday wearing a custom look by emerging designer Miss Claire Sullivan—in the signature Knicks colors of white, blue, and orange, of course. Go sports! Or Zendaya at her Spider-Man premiere in Madrid, where she slipped into a swishy, fringed Christian Cowan gown that was made for twirling. The drama!

Bright, upbeat colors also shined on the red carpets this week. Kate Middleton, for one, attended the 2026 Royal Ascot in England wearing a citron-yellow Roksanda dress. (A favorite label of the Princess of Wales.) In New York, actor Zoey Deutch went red-hot, choosing a fiery Valentino gown with a sweetheart neckline, which she wore to the Voicemails For Isabelle premiere. Summer is the prime time for wearing bold, blinding hues—and the royals and A-listers alike made eye-popping dressing look good.
