After spending the last year on tour, hitting us hard and soft, Billie Eilish has finally decided to hard launch her relationship.
On Wednesday, Eilish and Nat Wolff made their red carpet debut at the world premiere of ber concert movie Billie Eilish—Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D) in Los Angeles. The project, which she co-directed with James Cameron, charts her sold-out four-night run in Manchester, England last year. The pop star walked the red carpet alongside Cameron, her brother and collaborator Finneas O’Connell, and her boyfriend, Wolff—their first real public appearance as a couple.
Wolff and Eilish have been romantically linked since about March 2025, followed by months of speculation, covert pap shots, and the pair expertly swerving red carpets. Prior to the rumor mill churning, however, the pop star and actor-musician were firm friends—and isn’t that how all good romances start?
In recent years, Eilish has been careful to keep quiet about her relationships. In her 2024 Vogue cover story, she declared she is “never talking about who I’m dating ever again,” after feeling stung by the way her sexuality and dating life were discussed and dissected in the media.
“I guess I underestimate that things I say will be blown up into the biggest news of the whole world. That’s so unnatural. We’re all babies. We’re all little kids growing up and learning ourselves,” she said at the time.
Eilish has been candid and clear about her bisexuality, though. Speaking to Rolling Stone in April 2024 and referencing the female love interest in her song “Lunch,” she said: “I’ve been in love with girls for my whole life, but I just didn’t understand—until, last year, I realized I wanted my face in a vagina.” She went on: “Who fucking cares? The whole world suddenly decided who I was, and I didn’t get to say anything or control any of it.”
It seems like she and Wolff have built a bond based on shared struggles, group hangs, and very good taste in music. Below, a brief timeline of Billie Eilish and Nat Wolff’s slow-burn romance.
March 2023: Billie meets Nat’s brother Alex
Alex Wolff—Nat’s brother, who he came up with when they were both teenagers on Nickelodeon musical comedy series The Naked Brothers Band, and perform as a pop-rock group today—first met Eilish at an Oscars party back in 2024. He told Variety that he, Nat, and Billie quickly became friends and bonded.
“Billie and me and my brother, we all have Tourette’s. And I think we all have bonded over that,” Alex shared. “Even when I saw Billie on interviews, I said, ‘Oh, she’s one of us.’” (Eilish was diagnosed with Tourette’s when she was 11, and went public at 16 after fans made compilation videos of her physical tics.)
“We know all the ways that we try to mute ourselves or try and chill ourselves out or soften ourselves for other people, and how nice it is to not have to do that for certain people,” he continued. Eilish has been equally praising of Wolff, who she has called “so fucking talented” and “a musical genius.”

October 2024: Nat talks Billie
Wolff contributed a quote about Eilish for her 2024 Vogue cover story. He praised her as “one of those people where almost everything she does, she does better than everyone else.”
"She’s like, ‘Come see me ride my horse,’ and the teacher says, ‘You know, if she put all her energy into it, she could go to the Olympics,’ “ Wolff said. “You just have to kind of submit to the fact that she’s going to be better than everyone else at everything.”
