On Wednesday night, the Oklahoma City Thunder played the Phoenix Suns (at home) for Game 2 of their first-round playoff series.
The Thunder won by a score of 120-107.
Despite the win, the more significant concern was that Jalen Williams left the game with an injury.
He finished with 19 points, one rebound, four assists and one steal while shooting 7/11 from the field and 2/3 from three-point range in 23 minutes of playing time.
Brandon Rahbar of Daily Thunder wrote: “Mark Daigneault opens the presser by saying that the team thinks Jalen Williams aggravated his left hamstring. They’ll take a look and give an update in the next couple days.”

After the injury, Dr. Evan Jeffries, DPT sent out a post (via X).
He wrote: “Jalen Williams left tonight’s game with a left hamstring injury He had TWO right hamstring strains earlier in the year that caused him to miss significant time throughout the season. MRI will determine if there is a hamstring strain and severity. Healing timeline is as follows Tightness: Day to Day Grade I: 1-2 weeks Grade II: 3-6 weeks”

Williams is one of the best three players on the Thunder.
He is in his fourth season with the franchise after being selected with the 12th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft out of Santa Clara.
This season, Williams had averages of 17.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 48.4% from the field and 29.9% from three-point range in 33 games.
Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic wrote: “Jalen Williams just walked out of the locker room. Walking a bit gingerly, if anything. No crazy conspicuous limp, but I’m no expert.”

The Thunder are the first seed in the Western Conference with a 64-18 record.
They currently have a 2-0 lead over the Suns with Games 3 and 4 in Phoenix.
Last season, Williams helped lead the Thunder to their first NBA Championship since moving to Oklahoma City.
