The Voice has added two new judges ahead of Season 30: Country music star Riley Green and Grammy Award-winning musician and actress Queen Latifah.
These double threats will be joining Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson on the judging pangel for their first seasons ever on the NBC music competition. However, this won’t be Greene’s first time on The Voice. The Country Music Award-winning singer previously performed on the show during Seasons 26 and 28.
Some may know Greene from the hit CBS series Marshals, in which the “Don’t Mind If I Do” singer starred as Garrett, or “Double G,” a valuable member of Team Jock Up who was (spoiler alert!) shockingly killed off the series just this week. But it’s good to know this isn’t the end of Green’s television career.
Green pursued his interest in acting at the encouragement of his musician friend and series star Luke Grimes.
“It’s probably not often that the lead actor of the show reads with one of the guys trying out for some small role, but that was helpful to me,” Green recently told DECIDER. “I was so lucky that my intro into acting was something I got to do with somebody who—not only am I great friends with—but who is so talented.”
Now, the singer and actor will be pivoting to unscripted television for his new stint as a host on The Voice, alongside his star-studded panel of judges.

Season 30 will be Queen Latifah’s first time appearing on The Voice after having previously served as a guest judge on America’s Got Talent.
The multi-hyphenate artists and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee boasts several honors to her name, including a Grammy Award, an Emmy, and a Golden Globe, in addition to an Academy Award nomination.
The judges will be replacing John Legend, whose run on The Voice ended this season. The “All Of Me” singer has been a judge on The Voice since Season 12.
The Voice Season 29 just crowned its latest winner. 31-year-old Alexia Jayy, hailing from Irvington, Alabama, won the competition after two soaring performances of Patti LaBelle’s “Lady Marmalade” and Adele’s “One and Only” during the finale. She joined Levine, her coach for the season, for a duet of the Maroon 5 classic “Sunday Morning.”
The Voice will be back later this fall with a brand new season, with new episodes airing every Monday night at 8 p.m. ET.
