Live from the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, it’s the 2026 Met Gala!
This year’s celebration of all things fashion will be co-chaired by Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour, with Anthony Vaccarello and Zoë Kravitz serving as committee co-chairs. The theme for 2026 is “Costume Art,” and the dress code, per Vogue, is “Fashion Is Art.”
Vogue’s red carpet coverage will be led by Ashley Graham, La La Anthony, and Cara Delevingne, and Emma Chamberlain will also be on hand to serve as a red carpet correspondent. Thankfully, Vogue is once again offering a bevy of free live stream options (more on that below), and you can also watch all the action on E!.
Ready, set, fashion! From start time to streaming info, here’s how to watch the 2026 Met Gala live online.

Emma Chamberlain will also be back to reprise her role as a red carpet correspondent.

You can also stream E! Live From the Met Gala’s red carpet coverage on Peacock, beginning at 6:00 p.m. ET. You can add Peacock to your Prime Video account for an additional $16.99/month. Prime Video offers a free trial for new subscribers.
E! will also be airing coverage of this year’s Met Gala with E! Live from the Red Carpet, which begins at 6:00 p.m. ET. If you have a valid cable login, you can watch live on USANetwork.com or the E! app.
The only way to watch shows airing live without cable is by using a live TV streaming service. Our favorite is DIRECTV, which comes with a five-day free trial before payment begins.
DIRECTV offers a number of flexible subscription options, including Genre Packs, so you can best choose which streaming plans fit your needs and budget. Plans start at $49.99/month.
You can also watch E! live with an active subscription to YouTube TV, Hulu + Live TV, or Sling Blue. YouTube and Hulu offer free trials for new subscribers.
Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour will co-chair this year’s event, with Anthony Vaccarello and Zoë Kravitz serving as committee co-chairs.
This year’s theme is… Costume Art!
Per Vogue, “On Monday, November 17, 2025, the Metropolitan Museum of Art announced the Costume Institute’s spring 2026 exhibition, ‘Costume Art.’ The show — set to inaugurate the Met’s new, nearly 12,000-square-foot Condé M. Nast Galleries — will consider depictions of the dressed body from across the Met’s curatorial departments, pairing garments with art objects spanning some 5,000 years.”
Enjoy the show!
