Andy Cohen is speaking out after Bravo revealed that the culprit behind the Summer House reunion audio leak had been uncovered and “appropriate action” had been taken.

On this morning’s episode of Radio Andy’s Andy Cohen Live, Cohen shared more about Bravo’s investigation into the audio leak, which featured a heated confrontation between Ciara Miller, Amanda Batula and West Wilson at the reunion that was filmed last Thursday (April 23). “It was truly not only one of the most emotional reunions that we’ve ever shot, but it was one of the most emotionally draining. There were so many emotions on that stage,” Cohen began, seemingly referring to the cast’s reactions to Batula and Wilson’s budding romance.

Immediately following the leak, social media sleuths wondered who it could have come from. With Batula and Wilson sounding much clearer than those on the other side of the room, many speculated that someone on their couch (perhaps, even them) might’ve secretly recorded the conversation and leaked it to the world.

According to Cohen, he never once thought someone from the cast would have leaked the audio. He called those hot takes “dumb,” noting that he “felt so bad” that some people within the cast (for instance, KJ Dillard) felt the need to come out and defend themselves. “I was so mad,” Cohen added.

Within hours of the leak, Bravo announced that it had launched an investigation into the matter, and promised to “take appropriate action” based on its findings. By the end of the weekend, the network revealed that “an individual involved in the production of the reunion” was responsible for the leak, and that there was “no evidence” that any member of the cast was involved in the recording. Per Cohen, the investigators were able to narrow down their suspect list with the help of a Bravo fan account.

“Let me say that though this team of investigators was on it, a Bravo fan, who you’re gonna hear more about, cracked the case,” he said, sharing that this unnamed person “delivered crucial information” that aided in the investigation.

This, according to Cohen, wasn’t the first time a Bravo fan has helped him uncover the culprit behind a reunion leak. The Real Housewives executive producer said there was once a “very dramatic” Real Housewives reunion, and that a Bravo fan page posted everything that had happened before it aired.

“I DMed them because I was so pissed, and I said, ‘You know, what you’re doing is you are now ruining it for everyone. Why is this gonna be fun for anyone to watch or why is it gonna be interesting? If you love the shows so much, why would you do that?’” Cohen recalled. “The fan account responded and was like, ‘I am so sorry. I’m your fan.’ They go, ‘What can I do?’ I go, ‘Well, first of all, take this down. Second of all, tell me who leaked it to you.’ And they told me, and the Housewife doesn’t know that I know that it was them, but I do know.”

Cohen then urged social media users to refrain from posting any additional leaks that may come from the Summer House reunion. “It ruins the integrity of the show and all the hard work of the cast, who we love. And we love this show,” he said.
