From “high body-count hair” to “gout dick sucker,” Bravo has delivered plenty of unforgettable reads over the years. In tonight’s episode of The Real Housewives of Rhode Island — which is in the midst of a wildly entertaining debut season — Rosie DiMare secures her spot on the Real Housewives Insult Hall of Fame when she furiously refers to Kelsey Swanson as a “slam pig.”

While the women finally seemed to make up in last week’s episode after Swanson questioned the true square footage of DiMare’s home, the former pageant queen’s attempt at some light ball-busting in this week’s episode results in a screaming match for the ages.

As she pulls up to DiMare’s house, Swanson sets off a police siren from her Range Rover, and, through a loudspeaker, pokes fun at her co-star’s claim that her house is 8,000 square feet. While Swanson insists it was a “joke,” DiMare does not find it funny. In a fit of rage, she shades Swanson’s relationship with an older, rich man, claims he’s the “sugar daddy” who paid off the judges for her Miss Rhode Island win, and accuses her of sleeping with married men. “You’re a fucking slam pig,” DiMare yells as she kicks Swanson out of her house.

What’s a slam pig?

There are a few different definitions of “slam pig,” though they all convey a similar meaning. Per the Wiktionary, a slam pig is a promiscuous woman who is typically overweight and/or unattractive, and “only sought after for pumping and dumping.” Urban Dictionary defines the vulgar term as “a big old whore that is willing to have sex with the first guy she meets,” or an “average-looking girl” who “likes to have random sexual encounters with many guys when she gets drunk.”

While the meanings differ slightly, the sentiment remains the same: a slam pig is, essentially, an offensive and misogynistic term for a woman who casually sleeps around.

DiMare elaborated on the definition during a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, telling the outlet, “A slam pig is a very New England term. It’s just a mean thing that you say about someone. I think the Urban Dictionary does a great job at describing it, but I wouldn’t say I was saying it because I actually thought she was a slam pig, although the definition isn’t totally off. It’s more so, you’re being really mean to me again and now get out of my house.”

The rivalry between Swanson and DiMare has been brewing since Episode 1, when the latter questioned Swanson’s unconventional relationship with her now ex-boyfriend. In the episodes that followed, Swanson took issue with DiMare’s failure to promote her new hair and makeup business on social media, and accused the former news anchor of exaggerating certain aspects of her life, specifically the size of the addition she’s putting on her home.
