Shilo Sanders doubles down on misogynistic 'sandwich' com...

Shilo Sanders isn’t backing down from his “go make a sandwich” comment toward Browns reporter Mary Kay Cabot.

Shilo, the brother of Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders and son of NFL legend and Colorado University coach Deion Sanders, made the misogynistic Instagram comment under a video of Cabot giving her opinion that Deshaun Watson has the inside track on the starting quarterback job in Cleveland.

“I think they should declare [Watson] QB1 asap and let the first-team offense start to cook,” Cabot said. “There’s no time to waste.”

Sanders would seemingly prefer Cabot stick to facts — and not opinion.

“If you’re gonna be a reporter, be a reporter and report facts,” Shilo said on his Twitch channel. “Whenever you have your opinion, and your opinion is always something hateful to Shedeur, then it makes it seem like it’s something weird. Like it’s an agenda that you have going on.

Shilo, 26, played defensive back under Deion with Jackson State and the Buffaloes before signing with the Buccaneers in 2025 as an undrafted free agent, but was quickly released after being ejected from a preseason game for punching an opponent.

Cabot took the high road in answering Shilo’s sandwich comment, saying that she believes that she has been “an inspiration for lots of women and young girls that you can go out there and do a good job in man’s world.”

“And I know that there are so many women who have joined the football world, especially because of some of the things that I’ve been able to do over the years, and I’m happy about that and I know that will continue,” Cabot said on Cleveland’s 92.3 The Fan on Thursday. “And now we’ve got women in flag football, playing flag football all over the place, and I’m just happy that I have been able to help set the tone and open some doors in that way, and I know that will continue, and that’s just how I feel about that.”

Opinions on Cabot’s coverage range widely; when the Browns drafted Shedeur, she called it a “no-brainer pick” in the fifth round.

During last offseason’s training camp, Shedeur struggled to find his footing and carve out an early role with the team.

Injuries and poor performance eventually led to Shedeur being thrust into the starting role, though he had the lowest QBR in the NFL last year and the sixth-worst since the stat became available in 2006.
