CBS News boss Bari Weiss is continuing her rapid remake of the network, hiring Daily Mail reporter Josh Boswell and veteran ABC News producer Cho Park for the network’s investigative unit while expanding her recruiting efforts overseas.

CBS News announced Tuesday that Boswell and Park will join the network’s I-Team, bolstering a division that Weiss has aggressively expanded since taking over as editor-in-chief in October.

The hires come days after CBS News tapped British broadcaster Sir Trevor Phillips as senior global affairs correspondent.

Boswell arrives from the Daily Mail, where he built a reputation for politically charged exclusives and investigations ranging from Hunter Biden’s laptop and allegations involving former second gentleman Doug Emhoff to reporting on UFOs, the Zodiac Killer and the Black Dahlia murder.

Park, meanwhile, worked on ABC News investigations involving racial discrimination in the NFL’s concussion settlement program, environmental hazards, consumer protection issues and allegations of abuse in sports and religious institutions.

“We are deeply committed to this in-depth reporting because it delivers on our promise to give viewers something they can’t find elsewhere — and on all platforms,” Matthew Mosk, CBS News’ senior investigative editorial director and head of the I-Unit, wrote in a memo to staff.

The moves are part of a broader hiring spree under Weiss, who has sought to expand CBS News’ investigative operation while recruiting journalists from outside the traditional network-news pipeline.

Last week, CBS News announced the hiring of Phillips, a veteran British broadcaster, as senior global affairs correspondent.

“Trevor Phillips cuts through the noise,” Weiss said in announcing the hire.

“His decades-long career is a masterclass in seeing beyond groupthink and pursuing the truth.”

Phillips, who most recently hosted Sky News’ flagship Sunday morning political program, will be based in London and contribute reporting across all CBS News platforms.

The hiring appears to be part of a broader push by Weiss to cultivate talent hailing from the other side of the pond.

Deadline reported this week that Weiss has spent time in London meeting with journalists she considers independent-minded and interested in challenging conventional wisdom.

According to the report, Weiss recently had lunch with longtime BBC broadcaster Justin Webb, the co-host of Radio 4’s influential “Today” program and the “Americast” podcast.

While no specific role was discussed, sources told Deadline that Weiss has expressed a desire to expand both CBS News and the Free Press, the contrarian website she founded, internationally.

“Trevor may be the first of several UK hires,” one source told the outlet.

The latest recruiting push comes as Weiss continues to face scrutiny for her overhaul of CBS News, particularly at “60 Minutes.” The recent firings of executive producer Tanya Simon, correspondents Sharyn Alfonsi and Cecilia Vega and veteran correspondent Scott Pelley triggered a massive backlash inside the iconic newsmagazine.
