There’s nothing more painful than saying goodbye.

Fans everywhere are mourning the end of The Bear. Hulu released all eight episodes of the fifth and final season of the adored comedy series on Thursday, and it’s truly the end of an era. Created by Christopher Storer, this Emmy-winning comedy drama first premiered back in 2022, and soon had TV lovers everywhere saying, “Yes, chef!” The show shot many of the cast to stardom, including Ayo Edebiri (who plays Sydney) and Ebon Moss-Bacharch (who plays Richie, aka Cousin).

Without spoiling anything, the last season of The Bear takes place over the course of one day. Season 5 picks up the day after the Season 4 finale, where everyone’s favorite chef, Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), has just revealed his plans to quit the restaurant.

With The Bear now officially over, how is the cast feeling about the end of this iconic show?

Ayo Edebiri’s Touching Tribute

First up… Ayo Edebiri!

The Bear is responsible for Edebiri’s rise to fame, cementing her as one of comedy’s greatest working actors. During her five-season run as Sydney, Edebiri earned an Emmy and Golden Globe award.

In her Instagram dump, Edebiri shared exclusive behind the scenes photos of her and the cast filming the past years. Edebiri was not shy in thanking everyone who helped along the way writing, “I’m so profoundly grateful to every person who’s been a part of this journey.”

She continued, “Thank you to all the hands and hearts that taught me how to hold a knife, that typed and sent drafts of scripts, that touched the clothes and props and sets that helped us find these people and create this world. To our cast. To our crew. Our crew, our crew, our crew. To anyone who let us be a part of their day. To CHICAGO. I love this show and these people. I’m a lucky duck. Lots of love, lots of thanks.”

Lionel Boyce’s Emotional Goodbye

Marcus (Lionel Boyce) is the fan-favorite pastry chef. Boyce took to his Instagram to describe the importance the series has had on his life, writing, “I don’t think there could’ve been any better way to anchor the past 5 years of my life than with this show, this experience, and every single person involved.”

Jamie Lee Curtis’s Important Video

Jamie Lee Curtis is back on Instagram. Well… she never left. The actress returns as a guest star in her Emmy-winning role of Donna Berzatto, aka Carmy’s mother.

In honor of the last season, Curtis has a surprise announcement. She reveals she’s selling The Bear themed collectable items on her website, My Hand In Yours. In the video, Curtis says The Bear memorabilia she’s selling are “expensive, but they’re worth it!” 100 percent of the proceeds will be going to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. Great idea, Jamie!

Abby Elliots’ Reflection

Last but not least, Abby Elliot said goodbye to the cast and crew. Elliot plays Natalie Berzatto, a former bank executive turned restaurant business manager.

Elliot made her message short but sweet, writing, “So much love. So much gratitude. What a gift to work with these incredible humans.”

All episodes of The Bear are now streaming on Hulu.

If you’re new to Hulu, the basic (with ads) price is $10.99/month. If you want to upgrade to Hulu ad-free, it costs $18.99/month.

If you want to stream even more and save a few bucks a month while you’re at it, we recommend subscribing to one of the Disney+ Bundles, all of which include Hulu. These bundles start at $12.99/month for ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu and goes up to $32.99/month for Disney+, Hulu, and Max, all ad-free.
