Don’t mess with a mama bear who is protecting her cubs. That’s the lesson we can all take away from this brand-new clip from Margo’s Got Money Troubles Episode 7.

Ahead of this week’s penultimate episode, DECIDER is sharing an exclusive first look at a conversation between Margo (Elle Fanning) and her mother, Shyanne (Michelle Pfeiffer), who is ready to go to war in order to keep her grandson out of the hands of his father, Mark (Michael Angarano). After discovering that Margo was using OnlyFans to provide for herself and her son, Mark opted to file for full custody at the end of Episode 6, claiming Margo is unfit to be a mother.

That legal filing leads us to this exciting scene from this week’s episode, which features Pfeiffer’s protective character trying to warn her daughter that Mark and his mother (Marcia Gay Harden) are going to pull out every nasty and below-the-belt trick in the book, especially because they have money. In short, Mark and his mom want us to be intimidated, and we cannot be.

“By the way, since you said he comes from money, I guarantee they will be trying to out-rich us. As in, they can better provide for the child. Well, that is not happening. Nobody is out-riching us,” Shyanne says as she applies lipliner and lip gloss on Margo, who seems nervous and reserved. “Affluence is a frame of mind and he and his rich family can fuck themselves raw.”

When Margo finally speaks to ask if she can just say one thing, she uses the opportunity to slowly go in for a hug with her mom, knowing that what they’re about to go through is not going to be easy on anyone, including Jinx (Nick Offerman), Kenny (Greg Kinnear), or Susie (Thaddea Graham). This is war and Bodhi is the only thing that matters at the end of the day… but who will get him in the end?

The fist six episodes of Margo’s Got Money Troubles are now streaming. Episode 7 releases on Apple TV on Wednesday, May 13, and the Season 1 finale drops on May 20.
