Spencer Pratt has slammed a report saying he is now living in a swanky Bel Air hotel and not an airstream trailer after his Pacific Palisades home burnt down last year.

Following a TMZ report about him staying at Hotel Bel-Air, the LA mayoral candidate wrote on X: “Hey guys, why don’t they wanna talk about why I need a hotel in the first place?

“Karen Bass let my home burn down. Also 6,000 of my neighbors.”

Earlier in his campaign, Pratt released a campaign video featuring his family, including wife Heidi Montag, in which he toured an airstream trailer and declared, “This is where I live,” while standing in front of it.

TMZ reported that the reality TV star-turned-politician told the outlet he had never actually lived in the trailer.

Asked directly whether he lived there, Pratt reportedly responded, “No,” adding, “I have never told anyone I lived there.” But TMZ countered that with a clip from a video where he stood in front of it and said “this is where I live.”

Instead, TMZ reported Pratt has spent more than a month living at the five-star Hotel Bel-Air, where rooms reportedly start at more than $1,500 a night and can cost as much as $8,090 a night for Swan Lake Suite.

Pratt entered the mayor’s race during an event marking the one-year anniversary of the Palisades Fire in January, which turned his life upside-down.

He said he was frustrated by what he described as the city’s lack of response and rebuilding efforts, specifically criticizing Bass. Pratt also claimed he was forced to leave the trailer because of death threats.

“The reality is the Bassholes and Ramaniacs are a little bit whacko, and since I destroyed them in the debate and am surging in the polls, they are getting increasingly desperate and hostile,” he told TMZ.

“I can’t talk about specific threats, but that lot is unsafe now,” he added.

Earlier this week The Post reported Pratt hired a team of elite former law enforcement and military officers as his personal security detail. He did not return requests for comment.

The primary for Los Angeles mayor will be held June 2. If no candidate receives more than 50% of the vote, the race will advance to the November general election.

Pratt appears to be gaining ground in the race, according to a new Emerson College poll released Wednesday.

The former reality TV star earned support from 22% of voters. The registered Republican, running as an independent candidate, trailed only Bass, who received 30% support, while Democratic City Councilmember Nithya Raman placed third with 19%.

After the TMZ report about his living situation, Pratt posted another message on X accusing critics of targeting him personally instead of debating his platform.

“Funny how they never attack my policy ideas,” he wrote. “They don’t wanna talk about my debate masterclass a week ago, they wanna talk about a reality show from a lifetime ago.”
