Shocking new video shows the moment a knife-wielding terrorist lunged at an elderly Jewish man at a London bus stop — as one of his two victims called it a “miracle” he survived.

The new footage shows the suspect, a heavy-set Somali-born 45-year-old, walking casually toward a bus stop on Wednesday before suddenly leaping onto an older man putting on a yarmulke.

The terrorist pushes the victim against the bus shelter while stabbing him repeatedly during Wednesday’s terrifying attack in Golders Green, a heavily Jewish neighborhood in north London that an Iranian-backed group took credit for.

Surveillance video shows two men being stabbed by a knife-wielding assailant on a street in Golders Green, North London.
Shocking video shows the moment a knife-wielding terrorist stabbed an elderly man at a London bus stop Wednesday.

Moments earlier, the same terrorist was shown on a separate security camera chasing down a younger man wearing orthodox Jewish garb along a suburban street.

That second victim, Shloime Rand, 34, told UK Media that he was stabbed in the chest while leaving his synagogue on Wednesday morning.

“A very big miracle happened to me, you know, I feel like God’s given me back my life,” Rand told BBC News.

“I’ve had a stab to my chest, and yes, my lungs have to recover. The oxygen was now reduced, and I hope I’ll be better soon,” he said, adding that he hoped to be discharged from the hospital in the next few days.

He also called on the British government to do more to tackle antisemitism, which he said has left Jews terrified.

“It’s terrible, and it can no longer be ignored by the government,” Rand said.

“It’s come to a point that people’s lives are in danger… I have all friends and people telling me they’re scared to walk in the street, and they look all around them, they don’t know what’s going on,” he added.

“People are now afraid and it’s been taken to a new level.”

The first attack took place just after 11:15 a.m. local time near Hager’s Shul Synagogue before the suspect walked up the main road in Golders Green, where he stabbed his second victim by a bus stop at 11:20 a.m.

Within minutes, cops had arrived and tasered the man, before kicking him in the head and wrestling the knife away from him.

The alleged terrorist, who had not been identified early Thursday, was born in Somalia and came to the UK as a child in the early 1990s, the BBC reported.

He was previously referred to the British government’s counter-terrorism “Prevent” program, but his file was closed in 2020.

The suspect had a “history of serious violence and mental health issues,” Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mark Rowley said on Wednesday.

He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over the attack, which was officially declared a “terrorist incident” by the UK’s Counter Terrorism Police.

An Iranian regime-backed terror group, Ashab al-Yamin, has claimed responsibility for the attack, which it said was retribution for the passage of an Israeli law that mandates the execution of Palestinians who are convicted of deadly terrorist acts.
