Group H comes down to the wire when Uruguay and Spain meet in Guadalajara.
Spain enters the final group-stage match on top of Group H with four points, while Uruguay is still searching for its first win after back-to-back draws against Saudi Arabia and Cape Verde.
La Roja opened the tournament with a surprise scoreless draw against Cape Verde before responding with a 4-0 win over Saudi Arabia, powered by Mikel Oyarzabal and Lamine Yamal.
Uruguay vs. Spain: what to know
Uruguay, meanwhile, has two points from two games after a 1-1 draw with Saudi Arabia and a 2-2 draw with Cape Verde. Marcelo Bielsa’s side still has star power in Federico Valverde, Manuel Ugarte and Darwin Núñez, but likely needs a win to avoid depending on other results or the third-place rankings.
Spain can guarantee its place in the Round of 32 with a win or draw. A victory would also clinch first place in Group H, setting up a knockout matchup against the runner-up of Group J.

Spain controls the group after taking four points from its first two matches. A win over Uruguay would clinch Group H, while a draw would be enough to send Spain into the knockouts.
Uruguay’s route is less comfortable. La Celeste is level with Cape Verde on two points, with Saudi Arabia still alive on one point. A Uruguay win over Spain would guarantee advancement, but anything less could leave Bielsa’s side waiting on the Cape Verde-Saudi Arabia result and the best third-place table.
The Group H winner is lined up to face the runner-up of Group J in the Round of 32, while the Group H runner-up is set to face the Group J winner.
