Soap star Marcy Walker is dealing with a serious health issue, according to a GoFundMe that’s been created for the beloved “All My Children” actress.

The GoFundMe didn’t reveal Walker’s ailment, but noted that financial support for the 64-year-old star “is urgently needed.”

“Today, Marcy needs our help,” the fundraiser’s page reads. “While she has spent years giving her time, energy, and heart to others — both as an actress and later through her dedicated ministry and community work — she is currently navigating an ongoing health issue where financial support is urgently needed.”

According to the GoFundMe, the money raised will go directly to Walker to help cover her essential living, medical, and personal expenses.

Walker’s “Santa Barbara” co-star A Martinez — who played her love interest in the ’80s soap — shed light on her illness last month, before they reunited for a special livestream event that took place on June 7. In an Instagram video, Martinez explained why fans were being charged starting at $50 for the two-hour virtual event, which featured him and Walker reminiscing about their time playing couple Eden Capwell and Cruz Castillo.

All of the proceeds from the event went directly to Walker to cover medical bills.

“Some folks have expressed disappointment over the cost,” Martinez said. “Now, out of respect for my partner’s privacy, I did not speak to the reasons for the fee when I first posted.”

“The fact is, Marcy has been ill and is working hard to get well,” he continued. “And in the process, has come face to face with the financial challenges that so often plague those of us unlucky enough to need serious medical care in our country. She is in that need.”

Martinez, 77, noted that the event would support Walker in a “personal” and “highly memorable” way.

Walker starred in “Santa Barbara” from 1984 to 1991. She’s also known for playing Liza Colby in “All My Children” from 1982 to 2005.

In 1989, Walker won a Daytime Emmy in the outstanding lead actress category for her role in “Santa Barbara.”

In 2005, she quit acting to become a Christian youth minister full-time. She told Edmond Outlook magazine in 2012 about her decision, “After a long time of praying, God told me that the scales had tipped, and I said I’m walking away from acting.”
