A judge in Texas has given Patrick Mahomes Sr. an opportunity to be a proud grandpa this summer.

Court records The California Post obtained on Friday show a Smith County judge ruled Mahomes Sr. — who’s been on probation since 2024 following his guilty plea to a third DWI charge — can travel to Kansas City next month to see his granddaughter, Patrick Mahomes II’s five-year-old Sterling, perform in her first dance recital.

Mahomes Sr. will be permitted to be in Missouri from June 5 to June 7 for the special occasion as long as he reports to his probation officer on June 4 to submit to urinalysis testing and then reports to his probation officer “as scheduled thereafter,” according to a copy of the judge’s order.

In a request for the order, Mahomes Sr.’s attorney wrote the former MLB pitcher has been “in compliance with all his conditions of probation at this time.”

“[Mahomes Sr.] is current on his community service restitution and has 26.25 hours of his 160 hours remaining,” Mahomes Sr.’s attorney wrote in the filing.

“The probationer is constantly monitored on his SCRAM device. Further, the probationer continues to attend his treatment/counseling program with Cenikor and is on track to graduate on June 2, 2026.

“He has had no issues with drug and alcohol testing and continues to remain on top of all his requirements of probation.”

Mahomes Sr. was sentenced to five years of probation in 2024 after he was accused of driving drunk in Tyler, Texas just days before his son helped the Chiefs beat the 49ers at Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas.

Mahomes Sr. had his probation extended from five years to seven in March following allegations he violated conditions of his probation by drinking on New Year’s Day.

In addition to Sterling Mahomes, Mahomes Sr. is also the granddad of Mahomes II’s two other children, three-year-old Bronze and one-year-old Golden.
