Marshals, the hit Yellowstone spin-off starring Luke Grimes, wrapped its Season 1 finale on Sunday, May 24 with a touching tribute card honoring the late Leonard E. Hancock Jr.

When Marshals Season 1, Episode 13 concluded on CBS, the finale faded to black and an in-memoriam end card appeared that read: “In Loving Memory of Leonard ‘Lenny’ E. Hancock Jr.”

Who Is Leonard “Lenny” E. Hancock Jr.? Marshals Episode 13 Tribute Card, Explained

Leonard “Lenny” E. Hancock Jr. is credited as a property master on Marshals, but per IMDb, his prop master credits include SEAL Team, Get Shorty, CSI: Cyber, Jarhead, Transformers, Chasing Life, The Bridge, CSI: NY, S.W.A.T, and more.

Back in October 2025, Hancock Jr. shared a snap from his time working on Marshals on Instagram, writing, “My home for the last 5 months has been park city Utah I couldn’t be more blessed. 2 months to go. With the grace of god I’ll be back in the spring.”

Hancock Jr. reportedly died at age 54 after a vehicle accident in December 2025, but his legacy will live on through the on-screen projects he enhanced with his work, the many lives he touched personally and professionally, and through Marshals Season 1’s thoughtful, poignantly placed finale tribute.
