This pizza’s so good it stopped MSG traffic.
The men behind the now-famous pizza delivery to Knicks guard Josh Hart — who went viral for nonchalantly chowing down on a slice during his postgame press conference Thursday — told The Post how they managed to get 16 pies into Madison Square Garden during the big game.
“It was like running the 400-meter dash. We had to just pass it and go, because the streets were flooded,” said L’industrie Pizzeria co-owner Nick Baglivo.
“We pulled up in the middle of the street on Eighth Avenue and an MSG team member met us … It was a typical New York moment.”
Baglivo personally delivered Hart’s order with his fellow L’industrie co-owner Massimo Laveglia.
“We didn’t even step inside Madison Square Garden,” Laveglia said.
“We were watching the game in my car,” Baglivo added.
The pies were made in their West Village location and done around 9 p.m. — which gave them enough time to get them to MSG, which took 30 minutes.
“We tried to time it to get it as hot as possible, so we got there eight minutes before the fourth quarter,” Baglivo said.
They got it there with plenty of time to spare for Hart’s postgame pizza party.
After the team defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers in Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals, Hart — who just had his best playoff game ever with 26 points, seven assists and four rebounds — even offered a piece to his teammate Karl-Anthony Towns, asking him, “Are you a crust guy?”
L’industrie fed the entire team — and gave them plenty of options to satisfy their postgame appetites.
“We did three Margherita, three New Yorker [pepperoni, spicy sausage and ricotta], three Burrata, two pepperoni, two Fig Jam and two Tartufo,” Laveglia explained.
They even sent some sweet treats.
“For dessert, we did one tray of Millefoglie, two olive oil cakes and one tray of pistachio tres leches.”
Hart has been known to stop by L’industrie — which has three locations in the West Village, Little Italy and Williamsburg.
“He came to the Brooklyn shop a couple of times at night, obviously the staff recognized him,” Baglivo said.
In January, the Knicks star took to X to ask if someone had a connection there, due to the long wait to get inside.
“Who got the connect at L’Industrie? Line be too crazy,” he wrote.
“After we saw the message, we DMed him on Instagram and we shared the contact and pretty much that’s it. Then he asked for pizza a couple of times and if we could deliver the pizza for after the game,” Laveglia explained.
“But this was the first time we delivered it to the Garden.”
Baglivo reflected on the quintessential New York moment.
“When New York’s winning, there’s nothing better than getting a big win and enjoying a slice.”
