The New York Giants trended in the right direction in 2025.
Although they finished the year 4-13, the club’s youth movement solidified as Jaxson Dart took the reins at quarterback while rookie running back Cam Skattebo and star wideout Malik Nabers showed flashes of brilliance before going down with injuries.
Coming into 2026, this hearty nucleus is all projected to be healthy and coached by legendary field general John Harbaugh, whom Big Blue signed in January.
“We’re gonna build a team that has what it takes to find a way to make plays in the fourth quarter,” Harbaugh, 63, said. “We’ve gotta scheme it that way. We’ve gotta practice that way.”
And, now that the 2026 schedule has officially been rolled out, we know who the Giants will hopefully be making huge fourth quarter plays against this year.
On first glance, just a few of the biggest home games at East Rutherford, N.J.’s MetLife Stadium to keep an eye out for include showdowns with Dak Prescott’s Dallas Cowboys (Sept. 13), Jayden Daniels’ Washington Commanders (Nov. 12), Trevor Lawrence’s Jacksonville Jaguars (Nov. 22), Brock Purdy’s San Francisco 49ers (Dec. 6) and Jalen Hurts’ Philadelphia Eagles (Jan. 9 or 10).
According to Yahoo! Sports, Harbaugh’s squad has been saddled with the 17th toughest schedule of all teams this year based on their opponents’ 2025 winning percentages.
While they’ll receive help from lottery draft picks Arvell Reese, Francis Mauigoa, Colton Hood, Malachi Fields and Bobby Jamison-Travis as well as splashy offseason acquisitions like tight end Isaiah Likely, wideout Calvin Austin III, linebacker Tremaine Edmunds, wide receiver Darnell Mooney, punter Jordan Stout and Dexter Lawrence replacements Shelby Harris and DJ Reader, more than anything, they need the fans.
