Joy Behar and the ladies of The View gave Robert F. Kennedy Jr. a thorough dressing down during a recent broadcast as the secretary of health testified before the House on topics ranging from AI to measles and vaccine rates.

In a surprisingly somber moment on the show, Behar admitted, “You know, sometimes I feel like they’re trying to kill us.”

“Trump just vetoed anything to do with climate change that would alleviate the problem. And we can see it everywhere that the earth is in a lot of trouble,” she pointed out.

She then set her sights back on Kennedy as she ruthlessly roasted the Trump official. “Here you’ve got a guy who is in charge of our health, who is a former heroin addict,” she said, adding Kennedy reportedly “swam in sewage” and “snorted cocaine off of a toilet seat.”

“This is who is in charge of your health, America,” Behar told viewers during Thursday’s (April 23) broadcast. “Do not put up with this. We’re in a lot of trouble, don’t people see that?”

The hosts took turns criticizing the several changes Kennedy has made to the Department of Health and Human Services since being appointed at the start of Trump’s term, including scaling back information available about Covid and slashing government funding for medical research.

Alyssa Farah Griffin pointed out that there was recently a breakthrough in mRNA vaccine research that could provide a cure to pancreatic cancer, which is only made possible through research grants that Kennedy’s administration is attempting to scale back. “That is not getting nearly enough attention and we’re gonna feel the consequences for decades to come,” she said.

Whoopi Goldberg also called out the DHHS for clearing the website of pertinent information regarding clinical trials, long COVID and more. “You cannot suppress information!” she complained.

After a tense discussion in which the hosts took turns poking holes in all of the changes Kennedy has made to the DHHS, Goldberg expressed her feelings in no uncertain words: “Get out of this job dude, you’re not qualified!”

The ladies of The View have not held back when it comes to sharing how they really feel about Kennedy. Hostin called the Trump official “deeply unqualified” and accused him of making “America sicker” on a recent broadcast, after which Ana Navarro pointed out that Kennedy has been known to experiment on animals and roadkill.

“Not even our animals are safe!” Navarro complained. “If I see this guy coming and I’ve got my dog, I’m running.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
