Technically, yes! 9-1-1 is on tonight, Thursday, May 28, 2026. But there’s no new episode premiering. Instead, ABC will be re-airing a fan-favorite installment, “Mother’s Boy,” from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. ET.

9-1-1 Season 9 consisted of 18 episodes, which means Season 9, Episode 18, “Hearts and Flower,” which aired on Thursday, May 7, was the Season 9 finale. So the question now is…
Curious if 9-1-1 Season 10 is on the horizon? On March 5, ABC renewed both 9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Nashville. According to Nielsen’s competitive cross-platform broadcast ratings, 9-1-1 ranked ninth on the charts and 9-1-1: Nashville ranked 14th. So it’s clear why the network would want more! So when is 9-1-1‘s return date?
9-1-1 and 9-1-1: Nashville are currently on hiatus ahead of Season 10 and Season 2 production, but during their recent Upfronts presentations, ABC confirmed that both 9-1–1 and 9-1-1: Nashville will return in fall 2026 and keep their Thursday slots at 8:00 p.m. ET and 9:00 p.m. ET on ABC.
Last year, the series premiered in early October. So that could be the case again depending on he network’s upcoming schedule. We’ll keep you posted when an official premiere date is announced! Until then, here’s what else you need to know.
