A short-tempered woman was arrested after she allegedly strangled and scratched a child for splashing water on her at a waterpark, according to police.
Marjorie C. Aliprandi, 68, grabbed the young boy by the throat on the Lazy River at the Cowabunga Bay Water Park in Draper, Utah on Saturday, according to the Draper Police Department.
“The child had stood near a fountain along the side of the lazy river and had splashed [Aliprandi],” according to an affidavit obtained by ABC 4.
The splash outraged Aliprandi, who then put both of her hands around the boy’s neck “in an attempt to get him to stop spraying her,” the affidavit states.

The boy told his mom what happened and police were called to the water park and spoke with the child.
The boy had red scratches on his neck and said he felt pressure when Aliprandi grabbed his neck, authorities said.
A lifeguard at the water park witnessed the incident, telling police she saw Aliprandi become upset with the child and choke him after he had sprayed her with water.
Aliprandi was arrested and charged with on one count of aggravated assault, a felony, and one count of child abuse, a misdemeanor. She was booked at the Salt Lake County Jail.
Police did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for additional information.
