Mark Consuelos got the chance to tell Live with Kelly and Mark about some exciting A-listers who have checked out his Broadway play, Fallen Angels.

While discussing tonight’s Met Gala on Monday’s episode, Consuelos revealed that former Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour “came backstage” the other night at in which he stars as Maurice Duclos.

Kelly Ripa gushed, “Oh, tell me about that!”

Consuelos replied, “Well it’s fun because when you’re doing the play, you never know who’s going to show up. Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson came backstage last night. It was really, really cool. And yeah, she came backstage… She was lovely. She was really nice, loved the show. Very nice.

However, Consuelos’ response wasn’t sufficient for Ripa, who immediately asked, “What was she wearing?” Unfortunately, Consuelos did not have a lot to offer on the fashion front.

“What was she wearing? I’m a guy. I don’t know. I don’t know,” he admitted. “She had the glasses.”

Ripa asked, “Did she wear them during the performance?”

“I don’t know. I don’t know,” Consuelos earnestly replied. “Maybe, probably.”

After Ripa deemed Wintour’s attendance at the show to be “so exciting,” Consuelos noted that Ripa “would have scoped out” what Wintour was wearing if she were there.

Ripa agreed, “I would have known everything.”

Consuelos reiterated that he doesn’t do that, to which Ripa quipped, “What a waste.”

“I would ask you what Tom and Rita were wearing, but you don’t know,” she added.

But Consuelos proved he has an eye for men’s fashion, recalling that Hanks was wearing a “green, suede” jacket.

“I was coveting it,” he revealed. “But I’m not going to say, ‘Hey man, I like your jacket.’ I was just looking at it. I was looking at the jacket. It’s very nice. I would like that jacket. It seemed expensive.”

Ripa teased, “C’mon, he’s Tom Hanks! Can’t the man have a nice jacket?”
