“I’d ask [President Trump] to name the starting lineup of the [Knicks’] 1993 championship team.” — Gov. Kathy Hochul, Wednesday
We say: Oops. In pushing the false claim that President Trump lied about being a Knicks fan, the gov exposed her own ignorance, claiming the team won the NBA championship in 1993, when it didn’t even make the finals.
Then her press office pretended the goof was intentional, a “4D chess move” meant to trap Trump.
Has any New York governor been more lame?
“Joe, you did such a great job . . . Four more years!” — Jill Biden, rallying with her husband after his 2024 debate meltdown
vs.
“I was frightened, because . . . [I thought] he’s having a stroke.’ ” — Jill Biden in a CBS interview to air Sunday
We say: The 2024 debate removed any doubt Joe Biden was unfit to continue as president, yet Jill blithely pretended he was fine.
Now she admits she saw the truth all along, and doesn’t even realize she’s made a self-damning confession.

That’s strengthening Iran?
“Israel has used its strength . . . to bury the two-state solution . . . [and impose] devastating collective punishment on the people of Gaza.” — Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.), in The New York Times, Tuesday
We say: False on every point: Israel merely defended itself after Palestinians rejected a two-state solution and massacred innocent Israelis.
Nor did it collectively punish Gazans, but took higher casualties to target only Hamas perpetrators.
