Los Angeles voters are still waiting for a final answer in the city’s mayoral battle nearly three weeks after Election Day, as a slow-moving ballot count triggers frustration and renewed questions over election misconduct.

An image showing a small group of workers still counting ballots has fueled anger among critics who say the process is taking far too long for a major vote.

With the race still not officially settled, the drawn-out count has become a political firestorm.

California election laws are designed to maximize voter access, a system that can extend the counting process as officials continue reviewing ballots.

But critics say the delay has left many voters demanding answers as the finish line remains out of sight.

Karen Bass has already won the race, with Nithya Raman confirmed as second and will face off in a November runoff. Spencer Pratt was dumped out a week after election night after Raman received a slew of support from mail-in ballots.

The vote totals as of Friday at 6 a.m. were:

• Karen Bass: 292,308 votes (34.3%)
• Nithya Raman: 247,442 votes (29.0%)
• Spencer Pratt: 217,798 votes (25.5%)

Officials reported that 99% of the vote had been counted. Pratt, who led early on election night following the June 2 primary, later slipped behind as additional ballots were processed.

The slow count has unfolded alongside explosive allegations of voter fraud that have drawn federal attention.

The FBI is investigating claims connected to voting activity in Los Angeles, with federal agents reportedly arriving in Skid Row in downtown LA after allegations that homeless residents were offered money to participate in fraudulent voting activity.

The claims allege that some homeless residents were paid cash to sign multiple registration forms, forge signatures, and provide voter information connected to the mayoral and gubernatorial primaries.

About 20 federal agents reportedly questioned residents in the area, asking whether they had been offered money to vote or knew of others who had received similar offers.

The controversy intensified after videos obtained by The California Post showed Skid Row residents claiming they were paid to vote for Bass and Raman.

The footage was recorded Tuesday morning near 7th Street and Flower Street in downtown Los Angeles and was later provided to the Department of Justice.

The reports also included allegations that thousands of homeless voters were registered at shelters where they did not live.

One Venice shelter reportedly had 185 Raman voters registered there and received $600,000 in taxpayer funding connected to Raman.

In one video, a man identifying himself as Kevin Shepherd claimed he received $4 to vote for Bass.

Pratt said the allegations should be investigated but warned against treating accusations as proven facts.

“There is a lot of evidence of fraud that needs to be investigated, but evidence is not the same thing as proof, so we must avoid drawing conclusions until we have proof of malfeasance,” Pratt told The Post.
