Prime Video has your next romance binge-watch heading right to you this summer.

The streamer dropped the official trailer for Every Year After, the new series based on Carley Fortune’s bestselling 2022 novel Every Summer After. Starring Sadie Soverall and Matt Cornett as Percy Fraser and Sam Florek, the eight-episode season, described as a “romantic, nostalgic story of first loves and the people and choices that mark us forever,” is “told over the course of six years and one week in Barry’s Bay, the quintessential lake town.”

Set to Maggie Rogers’ “Light On,” the new trailer teases a history between Percy, Sam, and Sam’s brother, Charlie (Michael Bradway), as Percy returns to Barry’s Bay to attend the funeral of the Florek boys’ mother, Sue (Elisha Cuthbert).

Fortune, who is an executive producer on the Prime Video series, has another book of hers receiving the book-to-screen treatment. Her 2024 novel This Summer Will Be Different romance is being adapted into a 10-episode series at Netflix. The author also just released a new romance novel, Our Perfect Storm, last Tuesday (May 5).
